This would be what i found on her
Charlotte Pollis was sick on March 11, 1994, the day before she vanished. That night, the grandparents looked after the couple's 2 children while her husband took Pollis to the hospital for treatment of an acute ear infection. After returning from the hospital, the grandparents left, and Pollis phoned her mother. It was the last time anyone has heard from her. At 8:50 a.m. the next day, Pollis's mother phoned her. Her husband answered and said that Pollis was still sleeping. The husband says that he last saw Pollis shortly after that phone call. He says he told her to stay in bed and rest, and then he brought the children off for a day of errands. When the husband returned he found that Pollis was gone, and assumed she was at her mothers, or with another family member. As the night went on, Pollis' family called to see if she returned. Pollis did not contact any family, or friends that day, which is very unusual. A missing report was made at approximately 11:00pm March 12th, 1994. The report was filed by her husband, at the request of the family. On March 13th, 1994 a search for Pollis was conducted, since she was not heard from, and concerns of her welfare started to grow. A search of the area provided no information, nor did the subsequent canvass of the neighborhood. There were no signs of foul play at the time, but it was not ruled out. Authorities say that when the State Bureau of Criminal Investigation came to check the house, investigators found that the house was spotless, having been cleaned from top to bottom. Investigators did find a stain of human blood in the trunk of Pollis' car, but the sample was too small to allow positive identification. Pollis left without a purse, money, or identification. Also both of Pollis' winter coats were still in the house, along with her jewelry, and shoes. To date Pollis has never contacted her family, very unusual since she would call her mother, or other members multiple times a day. Also family members feel that Pollis would never leave her children. Her husband was so guilty in this. I could not stand to watch him try and make excuses about her. |

I also found this information as well about a missing Layla Pollis. Due to the location and name similarities, I believe this may be Charlotte's daughter. I wonder how this is all related.

Wow, that is so interesting! Thanks for the link! I'm sure it is Charlotte's daughter. I do remember that was the grandma's last name. I wonder if Paul Pollis somehow got custody back of his children and she refused to turn her over. But what about the little boy.....any info about him?

Yes, I found a little more info and it said she was taken from her father's custody in 1998 and they believe she was abducted by her grandparents. There's a warrant out for the grandma's arrest.

Yep I remember the episode. I think the googly eyed grandma kidnapped the daughter. It is ashame for the kids to go through all of this first her mother is killed then her father might be the one and she is kidnapped by her grandmother. I remember the episode and have it on tape. Sorry for being blunt the Family is Jerry Springer Style White Trash. Even the grandmother for kidnapping the girl. If Paul Pollis killed his wife he must of needed some help because she was reported to be over 300 lbs
and he was 150. 300 lbs of dead weight is hard to move for one person so either he had a fork lift or someone helped him. Very, very sad case especially for the kids. My guess is paul killed her and had help lugging her body.

I wish they would show it again because I'd really like to add it to my UM tape collection. Speaking of trash, the children had said something about "mommy in a trash bag" and the police or child psych said the children had been coached. I'd imagine the little girl (a teenager now) was certainly taken by her grandmother. As I recall I searched once on Google about the case and there was once a link last year when the case came upon the 10 year mark. It said there was nothing new about the case in years. Oddly enough the daughter was not mentioned.
Wasn't there something about Paul refusing to give one of Charlotte's relatives the key to the backyard shed when they noticed that the shed's doors were bulging? Later it was reported that suddenly later the shed doors were opened and everything was shoved to one side. |

I am not surprised at all that the googly eyed grandmother abducted Charlotte's daughter, Layla. During the segment, the grandmother seemed very, very possessive over the family. Didn't she regularly call Charlotte up to 50 times per day? I can understand that mother and daughters can be close, but that's just too much. I hope that Layla gets found.

I don't think they talked 50 times a day but according to the segment Charlotte talked to many of her family members daily. This was one reason that her family was especially concerned. Charlotte did call her family members quite often.

The mother mentioned in the episode how many times she called a day. Atleast 20 or more. She did seem too possesive she is also wrong for kidnapping her grand-daughter and making situations worse. I did not really like this whole case. Paul is guilty as hell and the mother had no life and was wrong too.

I wonder why the Grandmother would kidnap the girl but not the boy?? That seems very strange to me.

20 times a day is in the "obsessive" category. Didn't they even live in the same town?

Now how is this for a theory maybe Charlottes mother did it. Did you notice how she could not look the camera in the eye?

Interesting theory. The mother's family did coach the kids to tell the investigators about the trash bag scenario, so maybe they wanted to cast suspicion on Paul.
