Its happen to me twice already i bought 2 movies on dvd that are not supposed to be on dvd, they dont look like bad copys they even look like factory profesional dvd,s everthing apears great until you put it in the dvd player and u got a copy on a scale from 1 to 10 would be a 4 at best, i just bought a copy of hero at large (John Ritter) on dvd that is a very bad copy its fuzzy and blury and hard to watch, however the dvd and case itself look like it was just rented at blockbuster, most likely this is a bootleg copy and was probably copied from a bad video i went to all the auction sites like ebay and amazon and read that hero at large isnt on dvd yet, so if u suspect a movie is not on dvd yet and u see it on dvd please research it before u buy i was cheated twice because i leaped before i looked. and if u find its not on dvd yet then id buy it on video first thats what im going to do with hero at large.

As always buyer beware, BUT sometimes these are the only way you can even see some of these movies. My point is while we would love to have everything released on dvd, just remember that it isn't but if you are lucky enough to find someone who has that rare movie, don't expect studio quality, ask questions first and most people will be very honest when it comes to this. I use to sell dvd and vhs dubs from my 16mm print collection of unreleased Charlie Chan films. Every once in awhile, I would get a horrid complaint from someone who expected modern day dvd quality from a 60 year old film. So sometimes, there are 2 sides to a story.
But in general, I believe that if you are selling boots, just be honest about the quality and everyone usually ends up happy. My 2 cents, Tom D. |
