Hey..... I just checked out 2005's TVDVD Schedule
Where in the hell was Happy Days? I saw The Andy Griiffith Show (several seasons listed in the TBA section), but I did not find Happy Days or Laverne & Shirley and I searched for it. Now.... you people are very good at finding out ahead of time about these things. So what's the explanation? Why isn't at least 3 or 4 seasons of Happy Days and Laverne & Shirley slated for 2005? I'm beginning to think that these two shows flunked in sales. Wait a minute. Matter of fact.... let's include Mork & Mindy. I think it's very wrong to add The Andy Griffith Show slated for a fast-track release and not add Happy Days, Laverne & Shirley, and Mork & Mindy to the fast-track release. I'm pissed! And I'm ready to scream!!! |

Yeah what Vashti said, and right after the Happy Days Reunion aired last week, the rankings for the S1 DVD on amazon.com shot up from 1,100 to in the top 100, so I think we'll get more seasons of HD for sure

I am surprised Paramount didn't hurry out season 2 in time for the reunion. HD is an 11 year show, they should get them out faster, especially when it's pretty obvious the last four years will not move as well.

From 1,100 to 100? Wow, sounds like shoe-in sales for the rest of the show. But what can we say for the other sales?
It is currently at 245. In the top three hundred. I don't know if that's a good or bad thing. from 100 to 300. Hmmm... I hope it fluctuates. Laverne & Shirley is a suckier pace. #1,545 And Mork & Mindy is at #1,821. So far Happy Days is in the lead. But what I figure is that they'll release HD, L&S, and M&M all with the same time frame like they did the first time. It appears that's what Production Companies like Paramount is doing for shows that are related to each other through character connections or created by the same person. Just like Cheers and Frasier. Or All in the Family and the Jeffersons (which needs to release Season Four before Season Five of All in the Family so they can go back to continuity) |

Angel premiered with Buffy's fourth season... so they released season 1 in between Buffy seasons 3 and 4... and then season 2 between 4 and 5... and it kinda kept a chronological pace. They could release seasons 2 and 3 of Happy Days, and then season 2 of L&S with season 4 of HD... and then season 2 of Mork And Mindy along with season 5 of L&S and 7 of HD... however, it wouldn't be too fair to make L&S and especially M&M fans wait so long since they've already gotten seasons 1. But if L&S and M&M hadn't had a season 1 release yet, this could've been a cool pattern. |

The idea of a fast-track sounds really cool though.
