Two Each Their Own

This sitcom is about a middle-aged man and woman who are dating and living together in one house with their children. The couple is Dan Mason (Dan Cortese) and Carrie McCallister (Leah Remini). Dan and Carrie live with their kids from their previous marriages in their home in Trenton, New Jersey. Dan is a editor for a sports magazine who loves his job, Carrie is a dental hygenist who is struggling to get a raise from her greedy, uptight boss. Dan and his ex-wife, Holly (Debra Messing) have an 18 year old daughter, Riley Mason (Kaley Cuoco). Carrie and her ex-husband, Steve (David Schwimmer) have a 13 year old daughter, Morgan (Jamie Lynn Spears) and a 10 year old daughter, Bryanna (Morgan York). Riley is a high school senior who loves boys, her friends, her cell, shopping, and fashion. Morgan is a 7th grader who loves sports and is kind of a tomboy in a way. Bryanna is a 4th grader who is as smart as Riley and as quick as Morgan. Holly and Steve both live in Trenton as well, they get to spend every weekend with their children. Holly and Dan are civil towards each other, as are Carrie and Steve.

Ep1: Pilot Episode:
Dan and Riley move into their new house with Carrie, Morgan, and Bryanna. the Masons and McCallisters must form like a family and develop 'house rules'.

Ep2: School Is Here:
Dan and Carrie are glad that their girls are going back to school. Morgan and Bryanna are not thrilled yet Riley is thrilled to start her senior year. Dan and Carrie are asked to go out for dinner with Holly and her new beau, yet the beau and Holly get into a fight and break up during dinner.

Ep3: First Kiss, Big Miss:
Morgan receives her first real kiss from the boy she likes. Meanwhile, Carrie realizes she missed her period, and becomes late, and fears that she may be pregnant. Riley overhears Carrie's conversation with Dan, and is stunned that Carrie may be pregnant.

Ep4: Homecoming:
Riley prepares for the Homecoming Dance. Riley learns last-minute, her homecoming date has been in a car crash and can't attend the dance. Riley scrambles around for a last-minute replacement. Riley ends up taking up her bisexual friend, Alden (yet they are FAR from romantically involved). Meanwhile, Dan, Carrie, and Holly think Riley is being selfish and shouldn't go to the dance and should be with her injured former date.

Ep5: Anniversaries:
Dan and Carrie celebrate their 2 years of dating by going out for dinner and a movie. Riley gets roped into dogsitting for Holly, as she is away with her friend for the weekned. Riley recruits Morgan and Bryanna to help her with Holly's two puppies.

Ep6: False Alarm:
Carrie learns she is not pregnant. She, Dan, and Riley are all overjoyed. Bryanna is ashamed, as she gets her period. She won't let Carrie, Dan, or Morgan talk to her. Bryanna reluctantly lets Riley and Riley only to talk to her about. Riley feels honored yet doesn't quite know what to say. She wings it and ends up changing Bryanna's mind into talking about it with her mom.

Ep7: Meet Your New Mommy:
Morgan and Bryanna dread meeting their dad, Steve's new fiancee, Brandy (Brooke Sheilds). Steve and Brandy decide to have their wedding in the next 3 months and wants Steve's girls to be a part of it. Carrie is unsure of if she herself is invited, and if so, how that would feel uncomfortable.

Ep8: Riley's Day Off:
Riley, her best friend Rhiannon (Evan Rachel Wood), and her bisexual friend Alden (Justin Berfield) decide to skip school and hangout at the mall. Riley, Alden, and Rhiannon avoid getting seen by Holly and Carrie (both on separate occasions). Dan accidently walks in on Morgan as she was changing her clothes. Morgan becomes mad at Dan, and Dan and Morgan can't bare to make eye contact (or stay in the same room together).

Ep9: The Dream:
Dan has a sex dream about his ex-wife, Holly. Dan is weirded out by it, yet turned on at the same time. Dan can't help but misinterpret everything Holly says into a sexual manner. Dan confesses to Carrie about his naughty dream, who thinks nothing of it and just laughs. Morgan joins the basketball team at school, she becomes one of the best players on the team.

Ep10: Thanksgiving: Part One
Dan and Carrie host Thanksgiving for themselves, Riley, Morgan, Bryanna, Holly, Steve, and Brandy. Carrie's nagging mother, Grace (Marlo Thomas) visits much to everyone's surprise. Grace and Brandy get into a verbal brawl at the table, Steve and Carrie must work together to stop them from "ruining Thanksgiving" for everyone else.

Ep11: Thanksgiving: Part Two
Meanwhile, Dan tries to get Carrie alone to pop the question to her. Holly overhears Dan rehearsing to propose to Carrie, and ends up feeling jealous. After Holly, Steve, Brandy, and Grace all leave, and while Dan is finally alone with an exhausted Carrie-he pops the question to Carrie while getting ready for bed (around 1 AM). An excited Carrie screams and hollers and wakes up the 3 girls, who find out the news and are equally thrilled as Carrie and Dan.
