Default Leo's quote in US Weekly

In the Feb 14 issue of US Weekly, there is a spread about Oscar stars Embarrassing Pasts. There is a pic of Leo on Growing Pains and he is quoted as saying, "Thank God I didn't do it longer than that. I'm glad that stuff's behind me."

Does anyone else think that's really crappy? Because if it hadn't been for Growing Pains, who knows if he would have made it. Thoughts?

It's just proof that Leo takes himself way too seriously.

He can't have much of a sense of humor if he can't just laugh about being part of an 80's family series (it truly did get get a bit cheesy sometimes -- but this was the 80's, it was fun, EVERYTHING on tv in the 80's was pretty cheesy, and some of it was a lot cheesier than GP).

I do really like some of Leo's acting, but I've never thought he was very good at being funny -- his acting on GP certainly wasn't anywhere near as good as some of his dramatic stuff has been. (Not all the dramatic stuff has been that good, though -- he's flat out sucked in a couple of the films he's done since GP). Still, from the previews I've seen from the Aviator it does look like he's done a great job in that film. Guess I'll have to wait till I can rent it 'cause I'm not wasting $7 on this jerk.

I agree. I like Leo when he's acting - I think he's a great actor. Just maybe not so much as a person. I've heard that he's a pretty big jerk about autographs and stuff. I think he needs to realize that you have to give back to the fans because THEY are the reason that he's a big star. He shouldn't bad mouth GP not only because that's where he started, but also because that's just in poor taste. For ANY actor. Harumph.

You know, I was recently wondering what Leo thought of his Growing Pains days. I guess this answers my question... :-/

I also think he's a good actor but such a jerk in real life. He doesn't give a crap about fans and actually hated having so many fans during the Titanic crazyness. He should grow up.
