The Rolling Stones vs. Aerosmith - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

A recent threat had us choose between Aerosmith and Bon Jovi. However, the band that Aerosmith is most like would be The Rolling Stones. Aerosmith are sort of like the younger brothers of the Stones, except they are American.

Though I love both bands and they are both classic, I am going to go with the Stones.

The Stones. Legendary band, classic songs. The have a greater history (legacy) than almost every other band there is. Gotta go with the Stones.

The Stones have made the far bigger impact, but regardless, I've always been into Aerosmith more.

Uhhh, the band second in importance to the Beatles in revitalizing rock and roll in America and outlasting the British Invasion of the 60's to becoming the world's most durable bands on the planet,

The band dubbed "The American Stones" who borrowed heavily from them, and not only rocked out harder and have been able to reinvent themselves and still put on so much sass and swagger with a real sense of humor...

Oh, God, why is this so much harder than I thought...

I love both... I've always been an Aerosmith fan, yet, I grew up listening to the Stones... eh, I'm going to have to say Aerosmith.

I think it is safe to say that The Stones are going to win this poll. It is important to note that despite the fact that Aeorsmith are loosing that I think that most people would agree that they are a great band, but simply have not has as much impact on music as the Stones have had. I know that I've said this before, but Aerosmith proved that America could turn out a great hard rock band. Up until Aerosmith all the great (well, most of them) hard rock bands were British.
