Somebody Help before I go crazy!

Hello all! I am trying to remember the name of a sitcom that aired in the 80's or 90's about a widowed Chicago lawyer with several children and a young woman (possibly named Carrie) living in the basement of his home. Can anyone help me with this before I lose my mind...please?
