I haven't heard this album but i wanna hear it. The Message is the only song i've heard from this album & of course that song is a classic. This song opened up a lot of people's eyes to the ghetto cause during the time this song came out, weren't too many rappers making these type of songs talkin about the ghetto.

I got the greatest hits. Its got The Message and everything. I haven't listened to it in a while, I think Kurtis Blow is featured on it.

Yes, "The Message" by Grandmaster Flash & the Furious Five was rap's first social commentary record about life in the ghetto. The song was later sampled into "Nobody Can Hold Us Down" by Sean "P. Diddy" Combs.

Ice Cube sampled The Message for Check Yo Self remix with Das EFX. Coolio also sampled it for County Line song.
