The Jacksons Victory Album

This album was kinda disappointing. It was the last album Michael did with them. I like the songs Torture, Wait, One More Chance, State Of Shock with Mick Jagger, Body. Michael's brothers got a chance to show they could sing solo on the songs on the album. Jackie sang by himself on Wait. Randy sang by himself on One More Chance which is a classic love song. Marlon sang by himself on Body. Tito sang by himself on We Can Change The World song on the album. Randy also sang by himself on The Hurt song on the album. I wonder why Michael wasn't in Torture & Body videos. I was supposed to go to their Victory tour back in 84 at the old Cleveland Browns stadium but my father didn't take my brother & i. I guess the tickets were hard to get.

I agree the album was a huge disapointment, especially following Destiny and Triumph.

It seems like Victory was thrown together to cash in on MJ-mania. If Thriller didn't sell what it did, I doubt they would've bothered with Victory.

I think Victory album would've still been made even if Thriller didn't sell well. You know their fans would've wanted to see Michael reunite with his brothers again for another Jacksons album. I haven't heard their 2300 Jackson Street album but i have heard the songs Nothin That Compares 2 You, Alright With Me, 2300 Jackson Street songs from that album. I got this dude i know to burn me a copy of 2300 Jackson Street album on cd since it's not available on cd. I wonder why Marlon wasn't on that album. I know Michael wasn't on it except 2300 Jackson Street song.

I like the song "State of Shock" featuring Mick Jagger of the Rolling Stones. It was their next to last album for the Jacksons (or the Jackson 5 I can call it). They do separate solo artist to sang one of the songs from the album. Michael sang a few songs from the album. It was the end of an era for the Jackson 5. The "Victory" album was a stunning end after 15 years where they made their first album back in late 1969 entitled "Diana Ross Presents: The Jackson 5". It was a flop. They came back 5 years later after its hiatus in "2300 Jackson St." in 1989.

You're right, isiahthomas! The album "2300 Jackson St." was sort like a reunion. It was their first and only album since Michael Jackson's absence. The title song was good and they began to feel off quickly. That album came out in 1989 just 20 years after their first album for Motown. The song "2300 Jackson St." featuring Marlon, Rebbie, Janet (after she did her "Rhythm Nation 1814" album prior to that) and their grandkids singing on that song. Pretty sad, isn't it!
