Dark Shadows ain't on SciFi anymore. Show's lost most of it's popularity. Forget it and go on to another show.

Dark Shadows may not be on the air anymore, but it is a true classic that shouldn't be forgotten. I'm glad MPI is releasing this show on DVD so fans wont ever forget it and will have something to remember the show of. It's a lot better than some of the crap that airs now a days.

TV is nothing but crap. I'd watch DS DVDs before I watch the reality trash like "Please Marry My Dog" or something. Although the DVDs are a real treat, it is too bad that the show isn't being broadcasted. It needs shown at a normal time so new generations can get introduced to it.

I have to thank Sci Fi for airing it. I watched the show a little in the late 90's when The Leviathan storyline started and became a regular watcher in 2002 I think. It was when the Adam and Eve story was beginning which is the worst story to start watching this show on. That can turn any fan off this show. I never watch DVD sets 8 and 9 anymore. I watched them when I first got them to make sure the discs were okay and that was the only time. Too boring and annoying with the Adam crap. I don't know how I kept watching the show with that story going on.

Sci Fi was the perfect channel for Dark Shadows. If SoapNet ever airs this show, I don't think anyone from the new generations will watch it. They would probably think it's a soap opera with nothing but love stories and over dramatic acting since that's how most soaps are considered to people. Come to think of it most soaps are like that right now. Even Passions which use to be great with the supernatural stories.

It seemed that Sci-Fi always showed DS too late. I think somebody needs to show it again soon and at a good time.

The best thing about the Adam story was when he chased Grayson Hall around the lab not too long after he was created. She is jumping over things in the lab and it really just made me laugh. I'm glad Adam walked into the Professor's closet and never came back out!

I used to watch DS in the early 80's when I was a kid. A local station would run it in the afterrnoons.

I thought when they moved it to 8 AM, it was on too early. I had to set my VCR to record it. 10 AM was a good time slot for me since I was in home school and was up around that time.

I never liked anything about Adam. He was more annoying than Jeb any day. I am so glad they never brought the actor back as another character.

I'm HOOKED to D.S.!!!! I didn't start watching it until this year when I found a great deal on Ebay for the first two dvd sets and I won the auction and ever since then, I'm hooked. I remember this show when it was originally on the air. But although I was aware of it, I was too little to care about watching it. Anyway, I have watched the DVD sets up to Set number six. I'm kind of stuck there because I don't have set number seven. LOL! IMHO, this show to "modern viewers" would seem dated at first glance but it is once you start getting into the storyline, you become hooked. For younger viewers today, the vast majority of them wouldn't give D.S. enough of a chance in order to get hooked on it. They would look at it once or twice and think how "hokey" it is and not give it another chance. Very sad. I've heard people say the same thing about the old British series, "Doctor Who." To the "modern viewer" who are used to spectacular special effects, the Doctor Who series is very dated. But it's the acting and the storylines which is far more important than any of the special effects. Same way with D.S. Quality actors and quality acting. When I watch D.S. I feel like I'm watching dramatic theatre. In other words, I feel more like I'm watching a play in the theatre, than watching a TV show.

Signed,
Respectfully,
Dutch

I LOVE Dark Shadows and I say Dark Shadows will never die.

I hope they bring it back on the Sci Fi Channel or any channel for that matter.
