This is a classic album. It came out in 1984. My favorite songs on here are Cool It Now, Mr Telephone Man, I'm Leaving You Again, Baby Love, Delicious, My Secret, Hide & Seek.

Maurice Starr produced the entire Candy Girl album. I also like their Popcorn Love song. Mase & Another Bad Creation did remakes of New Edition's Jealous Girl song.

Did New Edition fire Maurice Starr, or he fired them? I think they let him go. Who knows?

Why did Maurice fire New Edition? Was it because their Candy Girl album didn't sell well?

!# Die Hard New Edition Fan here. N.E got rid of Maurice Starr for the age ols reason. they weren't getting their fare share of the money from Candy Girl and all their performances. I think Bobby Brown even said on MTV years ago that the only thing they got from Starr was $1000 and a VCR
. When they jumped ship from StreetWise (Maurice Sarr's label) to MCA Records. Starr sued them over the name "New Edition" stating that he picked and owned the name, and he wanted to use it for a new group ( remember he discovered New Kids On The Block!! ). The Judege of course ruled in New Edition 's favor

New Edition shouldn't have signed with Bad Boy anyway. Their career is over to me. They should've stopped singin after their reunion album Home Again. That's messed up that Maurice gave them $1,000. I know they had to split the money 5 ways. What the hell are they gonna do with $200 apiece? LOL.
