Default DVDs that are coming out this week that I have to get

Ray. I haven't seen it yet, but it looks like it's good. I have heard so many good reviews about it.

The Karate Kid series. Believe it or not, I only saw part 1 and part 3. I couldn't get into part 2. The next Karate Kid with Hilary Swank was not good. But I'll buy the set just to have the series on hand. Maybe I'll force myself to watch them.

Ray came out today. I'm gonna rent that this weekend if it's available. I know all the copies are gonna be gone this weekend cause you know blacks will rent all the copies LOL. GarfieldKool you should check out Spike Lee's She Hate Me movie that came out today on video. I saw it when it came to the theatre last summer & i didn't like it. Hair Show movie with Monique & Kellita Smith comes out next Tuesday. I wanna check that out. The reviews i read about it say it sucks & i bet it does.

Why are you recommending a movie you didn't like and then going to rent a movie you think is going to suck?

I mean, hey, do what you like, but it's like you are expecting the worst and want other people to confirm that.

Anyway, I will rent Ray.

Jamie Foxx is a sure bet for the Oscar.

I recommended She Hate Me to him cause he might like it. Everybody got different tastes. I'm gonna check out Hair Show anyway cause i never pay attention to critics but i'm guessin it might suck but so what. I've spent money on movies that sucked before & i ain't mad. I gotta support black independent movies cause blacks need to support their own.

I just picked up the Ray! dvd today along with the reissue of School Daze which includes the soundtrack cd in the package. That's a good deal if you like the movie, getting the dvd and the cd for $12.99.

I'll check out She Hate Me. Usually, Spike Lee doesn't disappoint me with his flicks.

I bet people don't remember Samuel Jackson in School Daze. Spike had some of everybody in that movie. Tisha Campbell, Larry Fishburne, Kadeem Hardison, Giancarlo Esposito, Dawnn Lewis, Bill Nunn. Wasn't Branford Marsalis in that movie?

You're right. I lot of people don't remember or didn't know Samuel Jackson was in School Daze. Check imdb.com for Branford Marsalis.

Talk about a actor paying his dues. Samuel Jackson has been in a lot of movies back in the day before he became popular. He was in Juice with 2Pac & Omar Epps. He was in Strictly Business with Halle Berry & Tommy Davidson. He was in Def By Temptation with Kadeem Hardison & Bill Nunn. He was in Spike Lee's Do The Right Thing & Mo Better Blues movies. Jungle Fever is what really gave him some recognition to become popular. He also was in Good Fellas with Robert Deniro & Joe Pesci. Joe shot him in the back of the head in that movie tellin him he was gonna be late to his own funeral LOL. Joe said that because he asked Samuel before he killed him, how come he was late gettin that stolen truck off the street in front of his house. He was also in Eddie Murphy RAW in the beginning when Kenny aka Bud from The Cosby Show was playin Eddie as a kid. He had a small part in Coming To America when he robbed McDowell's where Eddie & Arsenio Hall worked at.
