Take a look at the very last episode on Disc 3: Side B, "Meet the Meteor". The closing theme is the closing theme from Season 1

yeah, I know. I also posted on that in the thread... WRONG THEME? I always wondered why the wreong theme was on ther.e (For another interesting "mistake", the usual music director Gerald Fried's music credit, usually at the top of the screen, is in LOVE ME LOVE MY SKIPPER (the cotillion episode) much lower-placed) (A thread oN THAT will be POSTED!) |

I've sadly reached disc 3 side b,
,and noticed a different opening scene on "Meet the Meteor". As well as the Professor and Mary Ann being switched (as Steve has noted) the backdrop for the steering wheels is different. There's much more of the lagoon seen in this one.Now back to the beginning and start all over again.

Guys,
With regards to the above post's errors on the DVD's: Do you believe that this is a mistake on the DVD itself, or the way the show was originally aired? (A mistake on the master tapes?) Jack |

I like to think it was the way it was originally aired. The way production numbers run on this show it may well have been a season 3 opener with new title scenes. They decided to make it a season 2 episode and returned to the original season 2 opening for the remainder of the season 3 episodes. I'm sure the logo that appears in the teaser on "Gilligan's Mother-In-Law" occurs on some of the season 3 shows as well
