What if Lecy signed onto the 9th season, do you think they still would've headed in the same direction they did with Sarah Chalke (phasing her out of the show), or do you think they would've done more episodes with Becky and give her a storyline.

I think they would've given her an episode but still wouldn't be in much episodes. Looking at the 8th season after "Becky Howser MD" Lecy's Becky was only in 3 more episodes and 1 scene in each of them, so they obviously didn't really care or it was just Lecy couldn't make it. Maybe in the DVDs she'll turn up in a few more episodes.

I think they would have slowly gotten her back in. I think alot of the reason Becky was phased out was because Sarah wasn't getting the audience response that they wanted. And if you recall in the last episode when David and Darlene brought their baby home Mark and Becky privately indicated that she was pregnant so I'm assuming if the show went on then both Mark and Becky would have been worked back in.
