Default Don't Take In A Foster Child

I got a cousin who has a black male teenager living with her who is a foster child. She tells me that he eats a lot & watches tv a lot. She said he's ignorant & he's not a good student. He's 16 yrs old. I don't feel sorry for foster kids. I wouldn't take one in.

Not all foster kids are "lazy and ignorant" and if she can't take care of the kid and teach him responsibilities and set limits for him then yeah she shouldn't have taken him in.

Most teenagers eat and watch TV a lot, not just foster kids. And it's not their fault that they're foster kids... they just got unlucky and had crappy parents who couldn't take care of them.

Yeah I agree with everyone else. Most teens are like that, and not ALL foster children are like that..

Unfortunately do the the fact that a friend of mine was an incompetent mother. She had her daughter taken away from her and placed in a foster home, this child thrived, because for the first time in her life she received love and proper attention and also she had other children to play with; it sounds to me that this 16 year old child just needs some guidance and a helping hand...

Erm, that's the very definition of teenager.

If she's calling someone she's supposed to be in charge of providing for ignorant, maybe she's not right for the job

Sometimes it's cos they run away, and the police say they have to be taken away from their real homes.

That happened to my friend. She got put into foster care twice. But she was kind of trashy... she got pregnant at 16. She moved to Tennessee though.

Don't judge all foster kids because one is "lazy & ignorant". Any kid can be laz and ignorant not jsut a foster child. What your cousin needs to do is become a role model for him...I can only imagine the **** that kid has been through.

that's rude to say about foster kids. It's not their fault they are in foster care...have a heart and don't judge.
