Do you remember the episode where Johnny Carson guest starred on "Cheers"? They went to California to see the taping of the "Tonight Show". It was an episode called "Heeeerrrrrreeee's Cliffy!" I used to watch that episode years ago. As you are watching the episode, Johnny Carson died earlier today. He was 79 years old. RIP Johnny.

Norm tells Cliff a little white lie about Carson using Cliff's material on the "Tonight Show", then regrets it when Cliff comes up with two tickets to Burbank. Meanwhile Sam and Woody install a satellite dish at "Cheers".

The episode was aired on May 7th, 1992 just weeks before he retired and ended its run on "Tonight Show". That's sad.

I wasn't a big fan of the show, but I love the episode where they visit on the set of Johnny Carson's "Tonight Show". I used to love that episode back when I was still a young guy. Here is that quote from the episode:

CLIFF: (on Johnny Carson's stage): Heeeeeeere's Cliffy!
(Johnny Carson walks out on stage towards Cliff)
JOHNNY: Feels pretty good, doesn't it?
CLIFF: Yeah.
JOHNNY: Now get the hell of my stage before I call security.
NORM: Thanks a lot! How can I repay you?
CUE CARD GUY: Just buy me a beer after the show.
NORM: Wherever you go..people are the same!!

I saw the clip on Inside Edition, are they re-running it anytime soon on any channel???

That was hilarious when Johnny said "Ladies and Gentleman, the President of NBC" after security threw Cliff out.
