Default Cut Samples

An example from 2 episodes of what I’ve been missing with my TV recorded episodes.
“Quick Before it Sinks”
The Professor and Mr. Howell discussing the problem on the golf course, Gilligan being revived by the Skipper and Gilligan on stilts up to the point where the Professor says Gilligan has a good idea.
The Professor moving a big rock for Ginger.

“Castaway Pictures Presents”
The Professor explaining the diving operation to the ladies, The Skipper trying to get in to a wet suit, the Skipper walking past the ladies in his long johns and Mr. Howell falling in the water. (so now I know why he looked all wet when on the raft with the Professor in the next sequence.)

I hate to think what scenes have been cut on the rest of my tapes but it’s great to know I can now see them. Beautiful.

AWESOME IDEA WITH THIS LIST!!!!

We should do the Season I DVD as well! I don't have the Season 2 DVD yet, but plan to get it soon!

It's amazing how much syndicate, Hallmark Channel, and TV Land take out!

Here ar ewsome more--=in fact, one that just ended--(see FIRST entry beloW)
V FOR VITAMINS-Gilligan telling the girls about eh "world coming to an end" (transdlate: the lack of CITRUS fruits, the meat, if you'
ll poardon, of the episode);Gilligan keeeping boith Howellnm and GInger in a very funny moment from stealing the oranhge that he has later.Shopwing right...now!

Some others:
GILLIGAN'S MOTHER-IN-LAW:
Ginger flirting with would-be suitor (for native gill) Haruki (Mary Foran and Eddie Little Sky,respectively.I always wondered if Mary was olditme actor musical star Diuck Foran's daughter)

OPERATION: STEAM HEAT:
Some more attempts to take advanantage of Gilligan.

WILL THE REAL MR.HOWELL PLEASE STAND UP? :
Howell standing up on raft-to-shore (and WHY copuldn'ty trhe Professor BUILD ONE FOR THE WHOLE castaways entourage??!),as Lovey snaps a pic opf him, ;Howell telling Gilligan that now, that imposter's not spending his loot falling overboard (but having actually loanded on the ISLAND!!),telling GIlligan the deal's not neccary anymore, and s thyus off;Howell and the imposter tyring to prove once and for all who's WHO!

GHOST A GO-GO:

When the skipper tells Gilligan just count to ten (so the skipper can..watch and see!) by one's, Gilligan telling GInger and Mary Ann 'bout the "ghosdt boat", the skipper and Gilligan seeing the boat with dummies off, and Skipper & Gillligan resting, only to find the Ghost, when they themselves and the five others are also dressed likewise to scare off the sinsiter spy who's haunting them,

THE FRIENDLY PHYSICIAN:

Just what Mary-Ann and Ginger are discussing back on the isalnd;the skipper and Gilligan being chained by Igor (henchman to wackyh Dr.Boris) in the creepy castle;Howell telling the rest about the doc's diabolical plans;Howell and Gilligan turning around (I THINK thius was removed from Nick at Nite/TV LAND!)

V FOR VITAMNS :
Still playing on my DVD;see note above.

MEET THE METEOR:
The metal suits being made by the Prof.;Gilligan telling the girls that the Professor has a way to explode the meteor

THE PRODUCER
Hecuba (Phil Silvers) insits Mary Ann.

THE HUNTER
Rory Calhoun's hunter offering Gilligan TWO places that he can like to be shot, followed by yet ANOTHER Ginger flirtation (with tenor sax theme), while she, using a dirnk that the professor made, tries top durg Rory C/John KLinkaid!!

(Most of the above are very breif or short snippets, otherwise 1 minute or so!)

A few more travesties found:
“Don’t Bug the Mosquitoes”
Entire opening sequence (credits included) up to where the Skipper and Mr. Howell converge on Gilligan lying on a lounge chair. Ginger entering the hut where the band is staying and Mrs. Howell chasing them with a pair of scissors.
“Agonized Labor”
The Skipper showing Gilligan how to tell Mr. Howell he’s lost his fortune by the Skipper playing Gilligan and Gilligan playing Mr. Howell.
“Hi Fi Gilligan”
The girls using Gilligan for their exercise program. The Skipper being disturbed by Gilligan up to the point where the Skipper puts both their sailor’s caps over Gilligan’s mouth.
“Erika Tiffany Smith to the Rescue”
The Skipper getting on his knee and reciting “The Boy Stood on the Burning Deck”. Why they cut such a small portion is beyond me. The entire sequence of Ginger teaching the Professor how to kiss.
“Not Guilty”
The Skipper and Gilligan discussing the other castaways at the beginning of the episode. The Professor demonstrating his coconut splitter to the Howells. Ginger and Mary Ann cleaning the Howell’s hut and finding the newspaper article.

...still more...
“You’ve Been Disconnected”
Gilligan going to the Howell’s and asking them for diamonds. Mary Ann with Ginger as she is making notes for the “Ginger Grant Story”. Gilligan with Ginger inquiring of the Professor more incidents for her memoirs up to where he asks Gilligan to start pedaling the diamond saw.
The Skipper helping the Professor to hang up coloured vines and Gilligan getting entangled in them.
“The Postman Cometh”
Mrs. Howell showing Gilligan how to be romantic. Mr. Howell showing the Skipper how to be romantic and you guessed it, Ginger showing the Professor how to be romantic.
“Seer Gilligan”
The Howell’s testing the seeds power on each other. The Skipper and Gilligan discussing the seeds and getting angry with each other. Ginger and Mary Ann thinking unflattering thoughts at each other. The Professor becoming upset at what Gilligan thinks about his thoughts on the seeds.

...more again...
“Gilligan’s Living Doll”
From the Professor commanding the robot to twirl its right arm. Mary Ann teaching the robot to sweep. Ginger adjusting the robot to wash the dishes faster. The Skipper teaching the robot to do the laundry, Gilligan searching for his rabbit’s foot, Mr. Howell borrowing the robot and Gilligan getting caught in the washing machine.

“Forward March”
Mary Ann and Mrs. Howell treating Gilligan’s injury. Ginger singing “It Had To Be You” to Gilligan.

“Ship Ahoax”
The Professor explaining to Gilligan his concern on “island madness”, Mrs. Howell spilling milk on Mr. Howell, Gilligan returning the Howell’s luggage.
(From just after Gilligan cleans the fogged up crystal ball), Ginger predicting Gilligan’s future, Gilligan telling the Skipper he’s to be a captain too.

and finally...
“Operation: Steam Heat”
(From just after the Skipper tells Gilligan 'don’t shake'), the Skipper explaining to Gilligan the dangers of sudden movement and the pair sneezing, Gilligan telling Mrs. Howell he can't move, Mary Ann trying to help Gilligan to the lagoon.

“Will the Real Mr. Howell Please Stand Up”
The Skipper and Gilligan thinking of ways to get Mr. Howell back to the mainland, Mr Howell listening to the radio discovering news about his Apex International stock, then running to the lagoon and being dragged out by Gilligan and the Skipper à la the teaser, Mary Ann and Ginger pooling their ideas.

“Ghost A-Go-Go”
From after the teaser: the Skipper proving to Gilligan there was no ghost, Mary Ann telling Gilligan she heard strange noises and Ginger saying her magazine and the table it was left on is missing.

The show was later aired on another TV channel. I started taping shows already recorded in the hope the stations may delete different sequences so I could maybe edit together entire episodes. These are the cut scenes from the other station:
“Ghost A-Go-Go”
From after the teaser: the Skipper proving to Gilligan there was no ghost. (From after the commercial break), the Skipper asking Gilligan to tell the others about the boat, up to just before Gilligan asks the girls to bring their ‘bare’ essentials.
I gave up on the idea of re-taping shows because it was always the same scene, or part there of, deleted.

It's interesting to note a previous post has different edits.

These are all the season 2 episodes I managed to tape. I look forward to checking my season 3 recordings for cut scenes when the dvd’s are released.

Wow! there werre more different edits of each episode than I thought.

GHOST A GO GO used to air with a cut from Giligan telling the girls to bring their "bare essentials" to the skipper syaing ("..come to think of it we haven't SAILED in it yet"-after the Professsor feels something suspicious after veeryone's just got ready to sail in it.)

It is in teresting to note the different cuts done, again..

In "You've Been Disconnected", isn't the entire opening sequence of the storm gone on TV Land, Hallmark, and syndicated prints? I may be wrong, but I think that these versions start out with The Skipper and Gilligan talking about the storm, rather than the storm itself.

The TV station, here, decided to allow us to see the storm sequence but probably would have been the better section to cut because as you say the Skipper and Gilligan talk about the storm anyway and the storm's damage is evident.
