I'm sure this has been asked many times but wasn't there a no pet policy in the building. That's why the trio couldn't keep the little puppy or kitten. Yet the Ropers had noisy birds. What's the deal??

No it wasn't fair but remember in that episode where they had the puppy. They ended up giving it to Mrs. Roper. But since he wasn't on any other show it makes you wonder what they did to it. LOL

Ted Bergman was being interviewed once after ritter died on the question about 3s company and i cant remember who did the interview but he asked bergman about that same thing and bergman replied, well obviously the ropers couldnt have done that in real life back in the 70s there were laws to prevent it, but we did it strctly for a comedy stuation and as everone knows in tv and movie you can write anything you want and get away with it because its only make believe.
