I found the lyrics and who wrote the song, but can anyone tell me who performed it? Or were the writers also the performers?

Gary Portnoy performed the song, which he co-wrote with Judy Hart Angelo. You can find all the details that led "Where Everybody Knows Your Name" to become the Cheers theme song in www.garyportnoy.con (link "The Cheers Story").

By the way, I think that "People like us" was also a wonderful song! But I still prefer "Where Everybody Knows Your Name".

Because he misspelled the URL with "con" instead of "com." Replace that and it works.
