Peer Pressure

Peer pressure is something that people of all races get caught up in. It's a shame that people can't use their own minds when making decisions about whether or not to do something that everybody else is doing. When i say things that everybody else is doing, i mean smoking, drinking alcohol, sex. Peer pressure is very prevalant in school cause so many kids wanna fit in with other kids who they think are cool. There's nothin cool about skipping classes, hangin out in the hallway, having sex at a young age & having babies at a young age. People always looked at me like somethin was wrong with me in high school cause i was different. I came to school everyday & i wanted to learn. I didn't like reading when i was young but now i see that reading is very important cause having intelligence is the only way you're gonna survive in this cold world. Ignorant people for some reason don't think it's cool to read & go to school. How are you gonna survive if you're not smart? I know ya'll are gonna have somethin to say about me mentioning blacks but i'm gonna say it cause blacks have it the worst when it comes to peer pressure. None of ya'll on here have been to a all black school so you have no idea what it's like to deal with ignorance all day when you're trying to learn. Blacks wonder why so many of them are homeless & in prison. They're homeless & in prison cause when they were young, they didn't wanna educate themselves. I've always had a mind of my own & i've never been a follower. I do what i think is right & if people got a problem with me not being your average ignorant niqqa, then that's too bad. I used to have a problem with blacks laughin at me a lot but now i don't care about whoever laughs at me cause i refuse to be unintelligent & ignorant.


Another thing i wanted to say to ya'll on here, don't ever let anybody pressure you into having sex. Have sex when you're ready. So what if people laugh at you cause you're a virgin. The problem with so many people is that they're concerned with what people say about them. I could care less what people say about me. People talk about people. That's just the way of the world & that'll never change.

This is a good thread you posted, Isiah. If I could do it over again, I could do it over again, I'll be nerd in high school. I was very quiet in school up until 8th grade. I got tired of being "sweet", and all of that. I just started talking more, turned into a class clown, when I got to high school, I just started skipping class because others were doing it. I started smoking blunts that were passed and everything. Because of that, I didn't graduate on time. I was a good student, but in high school, I was a follower, I tried to shed that quiet image. I graduated with the class the next year. I was trying to be down. One thing I never did was wear clothes that were with the trend. Could never afford it. And if you couldn't, people thought you were poor. Well, I don't care, because we were all going to the same school in the 'hood, it not like we were in Beverly Hills. Just because I never had a pair of $130 pair of Jordans, people thought I was poor, but it is none of their business what i have on my feet or on my back, cased closed. We are all there to learn. But you know what, those same people that were laughing, ain't doing a damn thang now, some of them are in jail.

yes, i have been to a school with a lot of african americans, i know what you mean. i have had many friends (girls) this has happen to. i feel so bad for them. its very depressing.

another thing that annoyed me was when an african american was really smart and tried, they were called "the whitest black person ever" I used to have friends who would cry when they were called that.

Yes it's very pathetic that there's so many black women having kids at a young age & they think it's cute. Ain't nothin cute about having kids at a young age. I think that black women shouldn't be pressured into having kids by these sorry ass black men that they're having sex with. A career comes first before you have kids. I don't know why women have kids period cause i wouldn't wanna go through all that pain that women go through when they're pregnant. If my mom would've never birthed me, i wouldn't have cared cause i don't wanna be on this f**ked up planet anyway. GarfieldKool you & i both relate to each other. I didn't have a lot of expensive clothes when i was young either cause my father always liked to shop at Marshall's & Value City to buy cheap clothes. I used to get laughed at for the sneakers i wore cause i used to have a pair of Patrick Ewing sneakers in high school & i guess his sneakers weren't popular back then. I used to be mad at my father for buying cheap sneakers & cheap clothes. Now i'm glad i can buy my own clothes & sneakers. GarfieldKool you're right about the ignorant people who laughed at you. They probably are in prison now or homeless. What else can a uneducated person do but rob somebody, sell drugs or be homeless?


I can just imagine what black rappers, black basketball players, black football players would be doing if these careers never existed cause a lot of them are unintelligent. What else can they do besides play sports & rap?

TheAnswerMan it's a shame when blacks that are intelligent get called names cause they wanna be smart. It's really sad. They get called white bread & uncle toms cause they wanna learn. I've heard people talk about Bryant Gumbel before. I seriously have a problem with blacks who don't wanna learn & are ignorant. People ask how come positive rappers don't sell. I know the answer to that. Positive rappers don't sell cause a lot of blacks are ignorant & they only wanna hear ignorant rap music. People say Chuck D & KRS One preach too much. What's wrong with preaching intelligence? Blacks are so lost, it's sad. I was in the hood today for my cigarette merchandiser job & it's so pathetic to see blacks standing in front of a liquor store, grocery store, gas station all day. It's like these people don't wanna work & they ain't trying to work. They'd rather ask people for money than get a damn job. I wish i didn't have those stores in the hood on my route list cause i hate going to the hood to do my job cause i gotta look at these sorry niqqas everytime i go over there. It took balls for Bill Cosby to say what he said about young blacks of today. When he said what he said, then blacks wanna get mad. How can you get mad at the truth? Somebody black that has money like Bill should've said what he said a long time ago.


This foreigner guy that owns a liquor store which is one of the stores i went to today for my job asked me how come black celebrities like Bill Cosby, Oprah Winfrey, Michael Jackson don't give back to their communities. I said to him, they probably don't give back cause they don't want to & i don't have a problem with that. It's not their job to give back to the black community when they make it cause the only thing blacks are gonna do is be ungrateful anyway thinkin that they should always get a free handout when they need to get up off their asses & work for what they want & read instead of always going to the damn club, smokin weed, drinkin alcohol, chasing women.

Penny Lane i commend Bill Cosby for having the guts to say what he had to say. Like i said, somebody that's black that has money like he does should've said it a long time ago. I was thinkin about posting this topic on rap music websites where blacks be at but i said naw cause when i posted this topic before, most of the people who responded laughed at me but that wasn't a surprise cause i expect ignorant blacks to laugh. I'm also tired of rap music gettin a bad rap by the media & politicians. Every rapper isn't ignorant. There's a lot of educated rappers but no one listens to them cause they preach too much & the record companies are scared to sign educated rappers cause they know their music doesn't sell cause ignorant blacks only wanna hear ignorant rap & ignorant rappers always talk about dumb s**t so that's what they like.

There's a lot of 70's black movies i haven't seen cause the majority of those movies are ignorant & degrading such as Dolemite movies, The Mack, Superfly. Pam Grier always had to get naked in her movies back then & that wasn't fair to her. There's a lot of blacks who praise those Dolemite movies & The Mack. What's cool about being a pimp & pimpin women? What's cool about being in a gang? What's cool about sellin drugs to your own people? Blacks that are doing these things don't think about these questions cause they're only concerned about gettin paid. Rappers also idolize mafia & gangster movies. Italians don't like blacks so why do they idolize them? Rappers are in love with Scarface movie with Al Pacino. There isn't anything cool about idolizing a gangster but that goes to show you how ignorant blacks are. It's a damn shame when foreigners can come to america & do better than blacks. Most foreigners can't even speak english & they still do better than blacks. What's wrong with that picture? Blacks are a messed up race of people. We got the nerve to be upset at whites for making us slaves years ago. We act like f**kin animals so that's why they treated us like animals when we were slaves by having the chains around our necks. I just want ya'll to know i'm not making this a racial issue but i'm prejudiced against ignorant blacks. Ignorant blacks give other blacks a bad name that are trying to do right cause white people think all blacks are the same & we aren't. Willie D of rap group Geto Boys said it best on the Geto Boys song Niqqas & Flies. He said holla at a niqqa if you lookin for some negativity cause niqqas got plenty of it, i think they love it. Then he said a niqqa get on top & niqqas hate it cause they can't stand to see another niqqa make it so how the f**k is niqqas coming together to take the first step when every niqqa is out for self. Ceelo who used to be in the rap group Goodie Mob said on Goodie Mob's The Experience song that so many black men out here trying to be niqqas, keepin it real to the point that they dying to be niqqas hahahahahahahahahahahaha. He also said you ain't a niqqa because you black, you a niqqa cause of how you act but you don't wanna hear the truth so i'm gon lie to you, make it sound fly to you.
