How lame was the "Mothman" segment?!?!? I even heard they made this story/legend into a movie!

UM had some really stupid segments in later years. The late 80s/early 90s had really scary stories. I would get SO freaked out by some of them. It's sad that UM was reduced to a bad Scooby-Doo rip-off in the late 90s (and into 2000).

Your right, the Mothman is a ridiculous story (sort of a low budget Bigfoot). And the segment producers made things worse when they decided to show the monster lurking behind the bushes.

The monster, supposedely a scary beast, ended up looking like a stuffed animal with plastic red eyes.

yeah, I guess over the years they ran out of stories or something, they really got carried away with the animal psychic stories and the lost loves. I mean they had some stupid segments from the NBC days but they were still scary sometimes.

the Lifetime segments were either crimes, lost loves, or reruns of old segments with the new UM soundtrack songs and effects in the background


still, as long as Robert Stack did the hosting, any UM episode is still fun to watch
