1. What is the Best Episode?

My favorite episode is 'Sex Symbol.'

"Sex Symbol" Episode: #2.11 - 4 February 1981

Felice Schachter .... Nancy Olson Butler (1979-1982, 1986)
Julie Piekarski .... Sue Ann Weaver (1979-1981, 1986)
Julie Anne Haddock .... Cindy Webster Baker (1979-1981, 1986)
Holly Gagnier .... 'Homerun' Helen
Dan Spector .... Neil Richards

2. What is the worst episode?

I don't have one--any episode where humor and comedic performances were downplayed. Also, epsisodes that have the character standing behind cash registers and there isn't a lot of movement of the cast members.

3. What is the funniest Episode?

'Gossip' is probably my favorite, 'funny' episode. I like it when Nancy puts ice down Blair's chest and Blair's facial expressions are SOOOO FUNNY!!!

"Gossip" Episode: #2.9 - 21 January 1981
Felice Schachter .... Nancy Olson Butler (1979-1982, 1986)
Julie Piekarski .... Sue Ann Weaver (1979-1981, 1986)
Julie Anne Haddock .... Cindy Webster Baker (1979-1981, 1986)
Hugh Gillin .... Howard
Kenneth Mars .... Mr. Harris, the headmaster

4. What is the Most Touching and Sad Episode?

'The Runaway' I chose this episode because it is sad that Mrs. Garrett and the girls can't help the prositute who is being exploited and abused by her pimp. Should Tootie have told them? How could Mrs. Garrett and the girls have helped the girl-prostitute?

"Runaway" Episode: #3.18 - 24 February 1982
Linda Darlow .... Bernice, the Waitress
Belle Ellig .... Woman
Darrell Fetty .... Mike
Larry Gelman .... Man
Tammy Lauren .... Kristie
Lauren Tom .... Miko

5. Who is the Best Character?

I like them all--even all of the guest stars and boyfriends and the other girls who attended Eastland.

6. Who is the Worst Character?
Pass

7. What is the Best Season?

Um, the first season. I watched the show from the very beginning. I love Jo but I would have preferred more episodes with Molly, Nancy, Sue Ann and Cindy. I always enjoyed the episodes in which the first season girls made special appearances on "The Facts of Life."
e.g. 'Gossip,' 'Sex Symbol,' Double Standard,' 'The Little Chill,' 'Dear Me,' 'The New Girl' (Parts 1 and 2), 'Pretty Babies,' etc.

8. What is the Worst Season?
Pass

9. What is the Best Set?

The first season--I loved the staircase, the grandfather clock, the mirror that Blair would look into, the living room, the hallway, the porch, the cafeteria, the barn, the classrooms, Tumpy and Emily's room, Steve's van, the girl's bedrooms and Mrs. Garrett's room!

I felt the action, timing and the dialog was at its best! Excellent camera work and camera angles and editing and timely dialog and banter between the castmates! Who could forget Blair's luggage and black eye!

10. What is the Worst Set?

The last set--there didn't seem to be a lot of action and moving of the characters. Sometimes the characters seemed stiff. I loved the attic bedroom, though!

11. What is the Best Theme?

Both of the first season themes. I like the musical and vocal arrangements and the words to the songs. The very first episode has a longer opening theme and an exclusive opening video as well. Also, I like the closing theme as well--and the pictures from the opening and ending credits of the first episode and the last part of the first season.

12. What is the Worst Theme?
The theme from Season 2-5 (?). I think the song is too slow. In 1984, I wrote "The Facts of Life" and asked for a revamped theme with pictures of the girls from earlier episodes. A few years later, the opening sequences did show the girls through different transitions!

13. Who was the Best Guest Star? "Brenda" She was the blonde with the glasses who would drive Mrs. Garrett nuts with her comments!

I thought she was so funny and appeared in a few episodes during seasons three and four. I thought that she would be in some episodes in season 5, before I knew of ALL OF THE CHANGES! ARGH! (Well, Blair and Jo graduated)

"The Facts of Life" playing "Brenda" in episode: "Teacher's Pet" (episode # 4.15) 26 January 1983
"The Facts of Life" playing "Brenda" in episode: "Dearest Mommie" (episode # 4.6) 17 November 1982
"The Facts of Life" playing "Brenda" in episode: "The Four Musketeers" (episode # 3.16) 10 February 1982

14. Who was the Worst Guest Star?
Pass

15. What was the Best Network That Aired FOL?
Um, Nick-at-Nite--even though they cut and edited the episodes. It seems strange that Nick-at-Nite didn't show the last two seasons of "The Facts of Life."

The Hallmark Channel would skip so many episodes and cut and edit to the point where the episodes were unrecognizable and didn't make a lot of sense--which is what happens when Nick-at-Nite and TV Land cut and edit there episodes!

16. What was the Best Marathon of FOL?
Nick-at-Nite in the fall of 2000. I liked the host and the Tootie's skates anthology!

I may not be able to answer all your questions yet, but here are my answers to some of the questions.

Best eppisodes=Crusing and the two Gone with the Wind eppisodes. They 3 just ties with my vote.

Worst eppisodes=any from season #1.

Best Character=Jo. She's just so georgeous and tough. She's just got those georgeous green and gray eyes and long brownish hair, and she's just so beautiful, yet tough at the same time. Love Nancy on The Division and Category 6 as well.

Worst character=George. I just can't stand that guy in anything he does. I hate him even on ER and Ocean's Eleven as well.

Other worst characters=Pippa and the very annoying too old for Jo to have married Rick Bonner. The marriage of Rick Bonner and Jo reminded me too much of the marriage between Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta Jones. Sorry!

Other worst eppisodes=the one where Jo marries Rich Bonner. Jo should of stayed single or at least married some guy more her own age.
A two year differential I can live with.

Best season=any from 2 thru 8

Worst season=1 and 9. And you ask me why I hated season 9, because I coudn't stand Jo being married to a man who was 10 or more years older than her. Jo was 25 in that season and Rick was 35 or 36 in that season as well, and I'm thinking Jo married that guy because he was a rock singer and Jo needed security(money not her own) to fall back on. Too many women these days are marrying guys basically for their money, not just love. Rick Bonner was at least a semi-wealthy rock singer from California. At least that's how I saw it. Sorry people. But I just hated season 9 completely and I hated Rick.

Who was the best guest star=Bull. Yes the Bull from Night Court. I just can't remember his real name. He's da bombs, yo! Also Seth Green. He just cracks me up.

Who was the worst guest star=the girl from Blossom who played as Blossom, the fat dude from the Goonies, and David Spade. I just can't stand anything about David Spade. He annoys me so much then and he annoys me so much today. He's just a big Poser.

Now I haven't seen very much of the show post-season six, as I initially tuned out completely after my vote for "worst episode" ran and only caught a few of the "newer" ones in reruns on Nick at Nite (no cable during USA run, didn't know about (let alone bother with) Hallmark Channel). With that in mind...

1. Best Episode? "The New Girl"

2. Worst episode? "Out of the Fire".

3. Funniest Episode? "Take My Finals, Please"

4. Most Touching and Sad Episode? "Breaking Point"

5. Best Character? Jo Polniaczek

6. Worst Character? Andy Moffett

7. Best Season? Season Three

8. Worst Season? To be fair, Season Six (again, haven't seen enough of 7-9, but 6 already showed signs of wear)

9. Best Set? Eastland Cafeteria

10. Worst Set? Eastland Dorms (is it just me or did that set seem a bit cramped?)

11. Best Theme? 1980-1985

12. Worst Theme? The one right after it, 1985-1988

13. Best Guest Star? Geri Jewel

14. Worst Guest Star? Gary Coleman (liked him on "Diff'rent Strokes", but it was weird seing him on FOL in the Season Two premiere)

15. Best Network That Aired FOL? NBC (especially since it was uncut then)

16. Best Marathon of FOL? N/A

1. What is the Best Episode?
My favorite episode was "Doo-Wah!" I loved seeing the girls singing with El Dabarge, it brought together 2 of my favorite things, the girls & 80's music. "The First Time" gets an honorbale mention as well.

2. What is the worst episode?
Any of the spin-off attempts, I didnt like anything that got off the subject of FOL and the girls.

3. What is the funniest Episode?
"Take My Finals Please"

4. What is the Most Touching and Sad Episode?
"Less Than Perfect", I remember being really young when I saw this episode and it really got to me. The thought of Blair in a car accident was gut wrenching.

5. Who is the Best Character?
Probably Jo.

6. Who is the Worst Character?
Miss Mahoney, she had no purpose on the show.

7. What is the Best Season?
I liked the newer seasons the best so I would probably say season 9.

8. What is the Worst Season?
'84-'85 the 5th season wasnt all that great.

9. What is the Best Set?
I loved the Over Our Heads set much for the same reasons Blair loved it. The neon's and all the crazy gadgets they had in that store was awesome. My first job was at a place similiar to that store, It was fun working at a place that was like Over Our Heads.

10. What is the Worst Set?
I hated the Edna's Edibles set, it was so old fashioned and boring, give me the Over Our Heads set any day.

11. What is the Best Theme?
The 1985-88 theme, loved the faster pace song. Other than that the '79-80 theme was good too.

12. What is the Worst Theme?
The '80-'85 theme.

13. Who was the Best Guest Star?
Geri Jewel

14. Who was the Worst Guest Star?
None, I liked them all.

15. What was the Best Network That Aired FOL?
I would say Nick at Nite but that would be crazy. I always liked the show on USA. Why? Well I think they treated the show with a lot more respect than Nick @ Nite did. They kept the show on longer had lot's of marathons for it, edited the show a lot less than N@N did and showed the ENTIRE show. N@N screwed the show up, I hated N@N after they butchered one of the best shows on TV then dumped it like it was nothing.

16. What was the Best Marathon of FOL?
Again I go with USA's over N@N's. USA had X-mas marathons, and Best of Marathons.
