My Own Order for "The New Class" Season 1 - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Here's the order I feel the 1st season should go:

1. "The Date Lottery" - There is no question that this is the first episode of the series. It introduces Scott Erickson as the Valley transfer.

2. "Running the Max" - This aired as episode 13. Yet it was the 3rd one filmed. I think it fits in perfectly as the second episode in the series. It shows the gang in school without Scott. It basically shows Scott becoming one of the gang. There's no way it's the last episode.

3. "The Slumber Party" - This episode finds Scott in drag as his cousin. It aired as the 2nd episode. And was the 5th episode filmed.

4. "Love Is on the Air" - The 2nd episode filmed, found Weasel as "Dr. Love". I never liked this as the second episode. Scott, while still in like with Lindsey, is scheming to get closer to a bunch of girls. I figured the first few episodes should be just Scott trying to get Lindsey and no one else. Plus, Megan isn't in this episode and I didn't want her to miss the 2nd episode.

5. "George Washington Kissed Here" - Scott is once again trying to win the heart of Lindsey. This time he's in the school play to get closer to her. There was no big reason I placed this episode here. It was the 4th filmed and 6th aired.

6. "Homecoming King" - It's around Homecoming time.

7. "A Kicking Weasel" - I had this episode follow the homecoming episode. Besides, it had to go somewhere.

8. "Home Shopping" - Okay, Scott's not as in to Lindsey from this episode on. He still likes her. But he's seemed to go after other girls.

9. "Tommy A" - This is an episode I haven't seen much. But it's about Tommy getting his driver's license, I think. It was the 13th episode filmed. It was filmed last, but was set during mid terms. So it couldn't be the last episode.

10. "Swap Meet" - This episode finds Scott persuing Rachel (a seasons 2-4 cast member). Since he's not after Lindsey anymore, I put it here.

11. "Belding's Baby" - Again, Scott is after a girl, other than Lindsey. So it really doesn't matter where I place the episode as long as it's towards the end.

12. "Good-bye Megan" - Every other episode, by this point, had a spot. So I placed this one here. Despite the title, it's not Megan's last episode. But you already knew that.

13. "Weasel Love" - This episode aired as 11, yet was filmed 12th. I feel it has the perfect "finale" feel to it. Since it was towards the end anyways, I just made it the season ender.

Seasons 2-7 is very hard to place in order. Since those seasons are filled with episodes taken place in Ranches, Ski Lodges, Hotels, Malls. It's so confusing. I'll have to wait for the DVDs before I orderize those.

How come they never show the New Class in reruns on tv? They show the regular class in reruns but not the new class how come?

After viewing the DVDs, I now feel that my order wasn't correct. I went back and edited it. Here's my old order:

1. "The Date Lottery"
2. "Running the Max"
3. "The Slumber Party"
4. "George Washington Kissed Here"
5. "Love Is on the Air"
6. "Homecoming King"
7. "A Kicking Weasel"
8. "Home Shopping"
9. "Swap Meet"
10. "Belding's Baby"
11. "Good-bye Megan"
12. "Tommy A"
13. "Weasel Love"

Here's my new order:

2. "Running the Max"
3. "The Slumber Party"
4. "Love Is on the Air"
5. "George Washington Kissed Here"

I switched "George Washington..." and "Love Is in the Air".

I'm not going to keep changing the order. This is, to me, now official.
