I would have to say that would be Nixon.
Hes kinda obsessed with Reagan also, but Nixon is the one he has the autographed picture of.

I think Alex was equally obsessed with both Nixon and Reagan. When he was a child, it was Nixon. During the show's run, Reagan was in office, so he was his hero then.
I'll bet that Nixon and Reagan got a kick out of the hero worship angle. I'm surprised that one of the Presidents didn't appear on the show...or did they? I haven't seen every episode. I know Nixon appeared on the variety show, Laugh-In, light years ago, so it's in the realm of reality.
Reminds me of the Harry Anderson/Mel Torme theme on Night Court.

Didn't Alex have a large picture of Reagan over his bed?
Or was it Nixon?

My favorite bit was when Alex was reading a Reagen pop-up book to an infant Andrew.

"Oh look - there's Secretary of State George Shultz."

I actually think he was more obsessed with Reagan than Nixon, since Reagan was in office. However, the big picture over his bed is of William Buckley, not a President.

Alex's obsession was more with Nixon then Reagan. I think because Nixon may have been his first Republican President or something like that. On his bedside table he had a sighned photo of Nixon.
