Andy Griffith connection - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Hey folks!
I've got a friend who swears the characters from Green Acres/Petticoat/Beverly Hillbillies interacted with Andy Griffith Show characters-I don't remember any of them having connections with Mayberry-IS there a connection? Besides the fact that it is also a GREAT tv show?

Being that all these shows had country settings, there were many actors who appeared on both - but the characters on Andy Griffith were different than Green Acres/PJ. There were no direct crossovers as both shows were set in different parts of the country and also were produced by different companies, although all on CBS. In those days crossovers were only done when shows were made on the same lot or by the same people, not like the crazy stunt crossovers that some networks did in the 90's.
