Anna: I can’t wait until this weekend!

Matt: Why? Aren’t you going to miss Mrs. Brunson?

Anna: I’m going to see her!

Matt: How?

Mike: Oh, Matt, don’t be so dumb. They’re having a slumber party, of course.

Anna: No!

Matt: A pool party?

Anna: No…

Mike: A pie-crushing contest?

Anna: No…is there even such a thing?

Mike: Of course there is! I’ve been to tons of them!

Matt: Figures

Anna: It’s my 13th birthday party!

Matt: Oh yeah!

Mike: What’s a 13?

Anna: It’s a NUMBER, you IDIOT

Mike: Ohhh. What’s an idiot?

Matt: You

Mike: Oh

(It’s now Saturday)

Anna: Dad, I want everything to be perfect for this day! I’m gonna be a TEENAGER!

Mr. Chaland: Yes I know, dear.

Anna: Do you have the pizza?

Mr. Chaland: Yes

Anna: The punch?

Mr. Chaland: Yes

Anna: The music?

Mr. Chaland: Yes

Anna: The cake?

Mr. Chaland: Ye…um, I don’t think so

Anna: You don’t have a CAKE?!?! Didn’t you bake one, mom?

Mrs. Chaland: Why of course I did!

Anna: Phew!

Mrs. Chaland: Oh, my…the cake! It’s still in the oven!

Anna: Great

(Mrs. Chaland runs into the house and comes back with a black blob, just as Mike and Matt walk in)

Anna: Hey, guys!

Mike: Hey, Anna!

(Mike looks at Anna’s dad)

Mike: Hey, when did you get a dog?

Anna: That’s my DAD!

Mike: Your DOG is your DAD? That means…your….half CAT?

Anna: You’re an idiot

(Mark comes in)

Mark: Hey Anna!

(Jane comes with a lot of other kids)

Anna: Hi everyone…and…Jane’s dad?

Jane’s Dad: Yes, I need to watch my baby girl this party! Yes I do! Yes I do!

Jane: Daaad!

Jane’s Dad: Sorry, my little pony! (Jane’s dad sings the My Little Pony commercial)

Jane: DAD!

Anna: Ok, it’s time for GAMES!

Mike: I’m hungry

(Everyone agreed)

Anna: Ok, we have pizza…oh my goodness!

(Anna’s dog is seen eating the pizza)

Mike: THERE’S your dad! Nice to meet you!

(The dog runs away)

Mike: He’s really friendly!

Anna: Well, we have some other stuff….hmmm…here we go! Macaroni and Cheese!

Mike: Alright! I wonder why they call it Macaroni and Cheese….
Anna: Ok, it’ll be ready in a minute! Just…hang out!

Mark: Hey nice pool!

Anna: Thanks

Mike: Yeah…I love those things. I can drink that water for HOURS

Matt: Mike, you SWIM in the water

Anna: Mac and Cheese is ready!

Mark: I’m starving

Mike: Me too

(Everyone eats)

Mr. Chaland: Time for pin the tail on the donkey1

Anna: Dad, I’m 13, not 5!

Mr. Chaland: You’re friend that thinks I’m a dog seems to enjoy it!

(Mike is seen playing pin the tail on the donkey, and he places it on the fence)

Mike: I win!

Jakeie: I want to play!

Anna: GUYS! It’s cake time!

Mrs. Chaland: There’s no cake…but we have ice cream!

Mike: Alright! I hope they have pool water. It’s my favorite flavor!

Mrs. Brunson: This ice cream is delicious

Matt: Coming through!

(Matt runs past Mrs. Brunson and knocks her into the pool, and everyone stares at him)

Anna: Look…what you’ve done

(Commercial Break)

Anna: You…stupid…idiot

Matt: It was an ACCIDENT, Anna!

Anna: Oh well, now you’re going to PAY!

Mrs. Brunson: This is actually quite relaxing

Anna: Matt…your punishment is….

(Matt is seen walking into his house)

Mrs. Anderson: Party ended early, Matt?

Matt: No, Anna kicked me out

Jake: Getting a little too dirty with the girls, Matt?

Matt: NO! I threw the teacher into the pool…but it was an accident! I accidentally bumped her into the pool!

Mrs. Anderson: If it was an accident, why did she throw you out?

Matt: I don’t know… I guess she wanted her 13th birthday party to be perfect

Chris: I know what could have made it perfect…

Mrs. Anderson: Chris!

(Back at the party…)

Mark: Hey, you threw Matt out like that…that was GREAT! So when is he coming back

Anna: He’s not, that jerk

Mike: Did Matt go home to change into his swimming clothes? Mrs. Brunson went swimming; I’m going to too

(Mike jumps into the pool)

Mike: Come on in! The water’s great!

Anna: Mike, get out! It’s time to open presents!

Mike: You’re gonna LOVE my present!

(Anna open’s Mark’s present)

Anna: The stuffed bear I’ve been wanting…thanks Mark!

(She open’s Jane’s present)

Anna: Aww, a necklace. Thank you!

(Anna opens Mike’s present)

Anna: Igh! What IS this?

Mike: It’s your new pet. It’s half lizard, half snake, and half cat.

Anna: That’s too many halves

Mike: Hey, that’s what they guy at the pet store told me

Anna: Mike, thank you for your…interesting…gift.

Mike: You’re welcome!

(Most of the gifts have been open except for one)

Anna: That’s all of them!

Mark: No, there’s one more.

Anna: It’s from Matt

Jane: So?

(Anna begins to open it)

Anna: N-no, it doesn’t feel right

Willie: Just open it!

Mrs. Brunson (screaming): OPEN IT! OPEN IT! COME ON! OPEN IT! OPEN IT!

(Everyone looks at Mrs. Brunson)

Mrs. Brunson: Just…having a little fun

Anna: Ok.

(Anna opens it and it’s a bracelet, a friendship bracelet. The card reads:

Happy 13th Birthday! You’re a teenager and I’m not! Oh well, I hope we’ll always be friends no matter what happens J

Anna: I’ll be right back everyone…

Mrs. Brunson: You’re leaving your own party?

Anna: For now…

(Anna goes to Matt’s house and rings the doorbell. Matt opens it, and than slams it. Anna tries to open it, but Matt holds it closed. Than they both start kicking the door until Anna finally gets inside)

Anna: Hi

Matt: I thought you didn’t want to talk to me

Anna: (out of breath) Now, I do, and after that door incident I HAVE to get something done. Come back to my party

Matt: No!

Anna: Come back!

Matt: Why?

Anna: Because…it’s not the same without me

Matt: Ah, your party is dying without my charm

Anna: Well, no, it’s pretty exciting. And, Matt bought me a snake-lizard cat.

Matt: What?

Anna: I don’t know…just come back

Matt: Why?

Anna: Because…I saw your gift

Matt: Ok, I’ll come back

(The two return to the party)

(End credits roll down as we see Mike with the lizard-snake cat.

Mike: So, how’s it going?

(Lizard-snake cat hisses)

Mike: I see, I see. The weather has been lousy

(Lizard-snake cat hisses)

Mike: I know I’m better than Anna.

(Lizard-snake cat hisses)

Mike: Watch your mouth!

(Mike slaps the lizard-snake cat and it makes an extra-loud hiss)
