Default Beaver the Sheepdog

Yesterday on TV Land, they showed the episode where Shirley and a couple of her friends called Beaver a sheepdog because of his hair so he fought back by telling Shirley that she was ugly and had a face like a cuckoo clock. That made Shirley cry and Beaver feel bad. Who remembers that episode?

I saw it and thought it was ridiculous for Beaver to have been the only one punished. After all Shirley had been taunting him first. And Beaver's friends sure didn't stand up for him either.

A girl crying can always get a lot of attention.

I've seen that ep many times. Beaver was such an idiot. Why didn't he just comb his hair back instead of putting all that crap on it.

i wouldn't have yelled at her if I were Beaver, i'd have bitch slapped her
nah but i'd come up with a better comeback than saying she had a face like a cuckoo clock.

Why should I divide what feels so right?

Not to be mean, but I think that girl was kind of a baby. People have said much worse things to me than that, and I just tell them off right back!

I remember it! I loved Beaver's hair plastered with Slick-o and Glama Spray. He looked like Alfalfa in the old Our Gang comedies! What could Beaver have been thinking?! When Wally burst out in gales of laughter I did the same! Tee-hee! It was truly a funny moment!

I wonder if they filmed that scene at the dinner table by not allowing Tony to see Jerry with the plastered hair until he looks up at him and starts laughing. Seems like that would have been the way to do it, then when he finally got over it to shoot the rest of the scene.

Hmm ... I wonder too because Wally's laughter was real, it was sincere ... it didn't seem like he was acting ... he was laughing so hard I thought he was going to choke! Tee-hee!
