I doubt anyone will reply but does anybody know if there is going to be a third season? Did the show get cancelled?

Showtime announced last month that it was cancelled. I've heard that there are online petitions to revive it, but I don't think that's going to happen. The second season's ratings just weren't good enough. It's too bad. It was a well-written, well-acted show.

Thanks for replying. I wish they could move the show to HBO. The reason I couldn't tune in was because I don't have Showtime. I had to rent season 1, and that's how I found out that the show was good.

I only subscribed to Showtime after seeing ads for Dead Like Me on network TV. It was worth having yet another pay channel just for this one show. Of course, now I'm hooked on The L Word and I'm trying hard to warm up to HUFF so I'll be keeping Showtime, but life just won't be the same without George and the other reapers.

I tried "Huff," but just could not get into it. Same with "The L Word."
But I did notice last night that "Dead Like Me" was being repeated on Tuesdays. Last night, they had the pilot and episodes 2 and 3. Next Tuesday are 2 more episodes. Maybe they're gauging interest to see about a season 3? That would be great. I miss this show terribly. |

As for HUFF and The L Word, neither is "must see" for me any more. HUFF managed to assemble a lot of good actors to make a dull and often annoying show. I liked season one of The L Word a lot, but the second season was virtually unwatchable. I've never seen a show get so horrible so quickly. The writing went from edgy to melodramatic, the most intriguing character from the first year did not come back for the second one (and her absence was never adequately explained), and the new theme song sent me scrambling for the mute button each time it came on after the first couple of weeks. I haven't given up on Showtime yet, but it will never be as good as HBO for original programming. The few good shows it has had, it's either cancelled or ruined. |
