Women:
Angela Bower (Who's the Boss?): She's smart and funny. I admire the fact that she was able to have a successful career while being a single mom to her son.
Mona Robinson (WTB?):She's just funny! I love how she's a free spirit, and even though she doesn't often show it, she does care a lot for her family.
Sophia Petrillo (The Golden Girls): Another funny, outspoken character. Her comments usually make me laugh the hardest.
Helen Chappell (Wings): Helen just seems like the kind of person you could hang out with. I like how she's not afraid to tell people what she thinks. Plus, she ends up with a hot guy!
Fran Fine (The Nanny): I love Fran's sense of style, and her outrageous personality. Plus I admire her for being determined to go after the man she loved, even when it didn't seem like there was much hope for them.

Men:
Brian Hackett (Wings):Funny, charming, all-around nice guy. Seems like you could hang out with him, and no matter what, you'd have fun.
Joe Hackett (Wings):Smart, responsible, and HOT!
Maxwell Sheffield (The Nanny): Adorable British acccent, always looks good in a suit.
Tony Micelli (Who's the Boss?): Sweet, cute guy. Plus, he does housework!

If this was defined a bit better, I could provide a more succinct answer. By "characters you liked the most," are you referring to the way the actor portrayed them? The character's personality? His or her sex appeal? The subject is too vague.

Over the years, I can think of all sorts of well-played characters who I might not have cared a whit for had they existed in real life. Conversely, there are characters I wouldn't have minded having as a next door neighbor...or characters I'd have enjoyed going on a date with.
