Remember that ghost story about residents who discover there homes are built on a black slaves graveyard called Black Hope, I was wondering does anyone know what is going on there now? Do people still live there?

Update
I have heard quite a few things about the Black Hope Horror.
As I am sure you know, there was a movie about it with Patty Duke and David Soul playing two of the lead characters. I also read an update on-line a couple of weeks ago about Ben and Jean Williams who moved out of Texas to another state - why does Montana sound familiar? - and I thought I read somewhere that they then moved back to the neighborhood - ? I also heard that David Soul's character filed a lawsuit against the developers of the housing edition; I also heard it was tossed out of court. I also read that others who have moved into the neighborhood, even some of the same homes, have not had any problems. It was thought that the Williams' house, the site of the initial drama, got the brunt of it because they were the 1st on the block and the ones to disrupt the cemetery. |

Very interesting story, whether the paranormal events were real or not, who knows, but it is sad how the people died.

This may have been the most scary UM segment ever- just the way thery fiklmed those shapes floating around in such a menacing way and it was such a long segment as well which made it build up so much tension

I don't remember seeing this segment when it originally aired. I can't believe the court overturned the lawsuit and made the couple pay the legal fees. How the heck did the developers NOT know the cemetery was there? I believe they did and didn't care enough to disclose it to the owners. I would have been pissed too.

I don't believe in ghosts but this is the best produced "scary" UM segment.

At the end of the segment, it said the new residence haven't had any issues with haunting.

there's an entire chapter dedicated to this case in the book "Entities" by joe nickell. if you're familiar with his work, he's a skeptic of the paranormal and attempts to solve the mysteries behind them. he brings up some good examples of why the story lacks credibility. one example is the incident where the ladies red shoes went missing and were later found on the gravesite. if you watch the episode carefully it shows the family dog, so it's possible the dog could have put the shoes there, without them knowing.

This episode was probably one of the best. I feel terrible for the families in the case, especially the one who lost a daughter and the other family members being stricken with cancer. I wonder how they're doing now?

I wanted to bump this thread! The GHOST segments were my fave on UM even thought I don't believe in Ghosts (I know kinda hypocritical). But this one wasn't that scary to me. I def feel for the family though. To live in that enviroment and then have to pay the legal fees? Only in Texas would you get a stupid judge like that (I should know I reside in Texas)
