I have no doubt in my mind that they wrote this episode almost 100% based on the Pistons Vs Pacers brawl. In fact, there is even a reference to it in the episode. However, the part where the girl gets hit with a hotdog, and runs into the stands, beating C.J, then CJ proclaiming his innocence, is almost exactly how the Ron Artest/Innocent Piston Fan thing worked out.
Quite a funny episode.

Yes, very funny. Almost funny as "Secrets" - which reairs next Friday at 8:30 -- if you have not seen it, watch it, it is a hoot!
