I'm surprised nobody posted this. I think these two are very deserving. I remember watching Wade Boggs play for the Tampa Bay Devil Rays. He was at his best when he was with Boston. He was really good at hitting the ball the other way. I remember when he and Tony Gwynn were in the hunt for their 3000th hits. He was the first player to acheive it with a home run.
Ryne Sandberg at first may not seem like a Hall of Famer but you have to remember the position he played. He was a second baseman. Until Jeff Kent broke it, I think he held the record for the most home runs by a second baseman. He also won more gold gloves at that position than any other player. Great offensively and just as good, if not more, with the glove. |

Yeah, I'm surprised, too, that nobody posted it. Congrats to Wade & Ryne. I like both players, especially Ryne. When WGN went national, I started watching the Cubs and really got into them. I think it was 1984 when the nation got Cubs fever because they did so well.

Still no love for Don Mattingly & Tommy John, 2 greats who deserve to be Hall of Famers. Even though he's straightened himself up & gotten heavily involved with his church, Darryl Strawberry will probably never make it into the Hall of Fame because of his past problems & that's sad because he deserves to be a Hall of Famer someday too. Of course, it will never truly be the Baseball Hall of Fame until they come to their senses & let Pete Rose in.
