So lately I've been suspecting myself of this, but some people just think I'm full of ****. But in all honesty, those comercials sound so much like me...and I took 4 tests, all saying I'm positive for it. ADD Inattentive Type, Limbic System Hyperactivity, Basal Ganglia Hyperactivity were the most probable areas. Basically it's the kind in which you have a lack of interest and concentration moreso than what people normally think, like being all hyper and stuff. It's also feelings of getting nervous and upset easily, excessive daydreaming, mood problems, can lead to depression..etc etc. I brought this up to my friends, and they just thought I was full of ****...and maybe I am, but this does seem like the right answer. I'm not even doing as good in school lately because I can't remember a damn thing or pay attention. And another thing is, while reading symptoms and taking quizzes, it sounded a lot like my dad as well and could be something he passed on to me. I don't know, maybe I'm just lazy and looking for excuses...but if anyone has opinions...-_-
This part stood out to me: Most people with this form of ADD are never diagnosed. They do not exhibit enough symptoms that "grate" on the environment to cause others to seek help for them. Yet, they often experience severe disability from the disorder. Instead of help, they get labeled as willful, uninterested, or defiant. |

Once upon a time, they thought I was ADD and diagnosed me with it. But then they figured out they were wrong, because I had all the symptoms, but they were not present from a young age (toddler). The symptoms were part of my mood disorder.
In order to have ADD/ADHD, the symptoms must be present since you were little. Like... pre-school little. Be careful diagnosing ADD/ADHD. Go to a highly trained professional... you don't want to be on Ritalin for nothing. |

But it seems like the only logical explanation. I should just probably mention it to my doctor when I go.

I have ADD but I haven't been diagnosed. I've always had a hard time studying and reading. I have to read something over and over and over for my mind to process it and my memory sucks. Also forget trying to tell me how to do something you have to show me and let me do it or I'll never get it. I was trained in photo (at CVS) with her telling me how to do it and I was so lost once I was shown step by step while doing the process I got it rather quickly
