It's funny. I was raised on the east coast, and I only knew of Lohman and Barkley from watching NAME DROPPERS. It wasn't until I moved to the left coast that I realized that they were famous for more than just the quiz show.

since you have seen the show i was wondering were lohman and barkley good hosts ? it seemes to me they really wouldnt be that good with a game show format because they were masters at free form humour and a 30 miniute game show would not allow for much ad libbing.

I was about 7 or 8 when the show aired originally, so my judgement will be skewed. I thought they were good then, however I'd love the opportunity to see the show again and analyze their work through the eyes of adulthood.

What about "Puttin' On the Hits"? I haven't seen that show since I was a kid.

Default Game Shows of The Past

Does anyone remember the following game shows:

Concentration
You Bet Your LIfe
Truth Or Consequences
Queen For A Day
64,000 Question
Password
To Tell The Truth
Beat the Clock
Who Do You Trust

I grew up with some of these shows. I wish the network would put them on again in reruns. I'd love to see these type of shows. I enjoy ALL game shows. Especially the kind you have to play along with. I love word games.

Remember last time, I posted my dream acquisition list about the show called "Puttin' on the Hits", guess what, I found a 7-minute of the show called "Puttin' on the Hits". This was the show that I remember back in the 80's. Here is that clip from the Allen Fawcett website

that clip was fun to watch i always thought that allen fawcett should have gotten the bandstand hosting job when dick clark stepped down in 89. its still a mystery to me why dick didnt give him the job it might have lasted longer than the 26 weeks that it was on after dick left.

Unfortunely, most of thoes shows are even lost or as always rumor, erase from existence never to see the light of day again until someone get lucky and find them somewhere collecting dust I for one would love to see the original Jeopardy with Art Flemming(Even if it's the lone 75 version they claim they have ).High Rollers,Gambit, and of course,my dream show The Hollywood Squares would all be added to my list

Regarding Bob's dream list, I have a 15:25 color demo hosted by Tom Kennedy on the set of the show where he plays clips from episodes with Phyllis Diller, Jame Powell, Jim Fitzgerald, Richard Dawson, Peter Lawford, Mary Rowan, Keenan Wynn, David Hartman, Lois Nettleton, & Burt Reynolds...from the clips this show is very similar to Bert Convy's Tattletales. Email direct to TEEVEECLOSET@AOL.COM if interested.

Since posting that WISH LIST, I've gotten an even dozen shows off that list. They ARE out there, but it's very time consuming. More game shows come in all the time. Check out my list at
