Default Would a Complete Series DVD release be out of the question?

I had never seen or even heard of this show till a few weeks ago, and I am very intrigued by what I have read. It sounds like it has more wit and edge than most 80s sitcoms, and seems to have been way ahead of its time. The people at the sites I checked for this show, like Jump The Shark and IMDb are all pretty much unanimous in praising It's Your Move saying its one of the funniest shows they've seen. I must see this! Now that Jason Bateman is back in the Hollywood mainstream with Arrested Development, I think it would be cool to put this series on DVD. Whether or not it would have an audience, I don't know. I'm willing to bet there are a decent amount of people who would be willing to do a blind buy, and the fans would pick it up. Do you guys think it has a chance on DVD?

I have only been hoping and dreaming of a DVD release for....oh....years. This was my favorite 80s sitcom, bar none. I actually have a few from the original airingm but broke down and bought the whole series off EBay last year. The wait for the DVD was just bringing me down. I do hope that with Jason's new super star status that that will change, but let us not forget that they are having a hard enough time with getting people to watch the show that he's on now, much less the show that they couldn't get people to watch 20 years ago.

Ii use to love this show. It would be great if it came to DVD but I wouldn't count on it. Most of the short lived TV shows getting released seem to be more recent shows.

I think a DVD release of this show's one and only season would sell enough to make a profit.

I saw every episode during the original airing - except for the conclusion of the 2 parter with the fake rock band. I didn't even know that that concluding episode had aired until I read about it many years later. I think they changed the schedulte at the end, or skippped a week, or something.

I was in 8th grade at the time, and everyone I knew who watched it, loved it.

I bet it would sell on DVD. A lot us in the "thirties age group" would probably buy it out of nostalgia, plus Jason Bateman seems to be more popular now than his child actor years. I could see them putting it out, but the big question is would they really??

No I have 4 NBC eps on the way in the mail. If I like those then I will probably want the rest. But a show like this with only 18 eps, i would probably only take the NBC versions instead of the USA network versions.

If Sony Pictures owns this it could very well be released.

I doubt it. Since this show only had 18 eps, I don't think Sony would even waste the time of releasing this show on DVD

Well the show certainly has enough of a cult following to warrant its release, plus with only 18 episodes they could issue it as a relatively inexpensive 2 or 3 disc box set.

I just don't see it. A tv show from 22 years ago with one season being released on DVD. Very slim chance

I couldn't agree more. I like this show simply for the sake of childhood memories. Other than that, this show has very little to offer and would no doubt be a huge financial loss for whoever owns it.
