Any "hardcore" fans who tape every soap? - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

I was just watching a soapnet commercial about extreme soap fans. There was a guy who audio taped soaps pre-vcrs and taped every episode of Another World for about its last 20 years.

I'm not really a hardcore fan. The only two shows I watch regularly are AMC and AW. I was a big wrestling fan and used to tape everything when there were a lot of promotions, but not so much now since WWE practically monopolized everything.

I was thinking that it is possible for me to tape every show on one vcr daily except Passions which I would have to use another recorder(no problem there since I hate this show for causing the death of AW) because I get Soapnet and you can get same day tape. Heck it's also possible to tape the cancelled soaps like PC, AW and RH.

I'm just wondering if anybody does it.

I was taping every episode of Y&R for a while there and watching it when I had time, but now I just watch it at the regular time and I don't fret about whether I miss some of it.
I probably would start taping them again if a really interesting storyline were developing, but the really gripping plots have kind of tapered off for now.

I was having a friend tape the ABC soaps for me for awhile but not anymore they aren't as good as they used to be.

I taped AMC in the early 90s. I saved them, but like an idiot, taped over the episodes!

What's really sad is that's when AMC was at its best. I'd give anything to get those back!

used to record passions everyday but havent for a couple of years now. but if i get a dvd recorder i may start up again. i record it while im working though but just dont save it.

I love GH, but my favorite s/l right now is Jason Morgan and Sam McCall aka Jasam. Ever since November when Sam lost her baby I have been recording the episodes on my dvr and then rerecording just the scene that Sam and Jason are in on videocassette. Hopefully they don't break this SUPER COUPLE up no time soon.
