Default I Love Lucy Movie?

Hello everyone!
I was wondering, if they ever made an ILL movie like the one with Nicloe Kidmon for bewitched, who do you think would best play Lucy? I know they did that CBS one about the Lucille Ball and Desi Anaz's life but like one that combined all of the ILL episodes, who would you want to play lucy R.??

I think I would want....Lauren Graham (from gilmore girls) she is a beautiful woman just like Lucy and she has the quick thinking humor also...she would just have to wear a wig or get her hair dyed...WASHED LoL :multi

Personally, I wasn't too keen on the CBS movie about Lucy. I think there should have been more too it. It was full of mistakes #1 and I think They should have started from Birth and ended at her death. But hey that is just my opinion.

An I Love Lucy Movie? Ummm sorry have to say NO WAY! I saw what they did to The Brady Bunch and other TV Show turned Movies. It would be wayyy to corney. I have see the Lucy Impersonators and while they may resemble Lucy a little ( the one that resembles her themost is Suzanne LaRuasch)
But they make Lucy to be way tooo wacky and scatterbrained, you now overdramatize.
And if they made one I don't think I would go see it.
A documentary that is pretty on the level and more in depth I would however pay to see.

An ILL movie is not a good idea.

There is only one, and always will be only one Lucy. An ILL without Lucille Ball, is like a cheese sandwitch without the cheese. (quickest thing I could think of )

No one could ever replace Lucy, no one could replace any of the characters; they're just simply classics that no other could play.

I couldn't agree more! I think it would be best if they just left this one alone.

I hate this constant rhetoric of "no one could replace them." GEEZ, that's irritating.

Well I think that TV movie was put together well but I don't think that a real movie would be necessary; there's no one to really replace them anyway ~ I can't think of one actor from this time that is quite talented to fit their roles.

Screenwriter, what they are saying is there opinion, the constitution has the ammendment for FREE SPEECH...I know that was your opinion but I think you could have said it in a nicer way that did not put down the others opinion. Because they are right nobody can EVER take Lucy's place. She is irriplacible.
thanks

Yes. Free Speech. Damn straight. I'll stand by my free speech. And they'll by their free speech. Thank you.

I don't know where you people get this idea that once someone does it.... it cannot be done again by someone else. Ever heard of impressions? It's a vein of acting that is actually quite hard to achieve. Learning how to imitate one's style effortlessly by studying them. When they were doing the Brady Bunch movies, the actors watched the episodes and studied the characters. Now, considering how dated the Brady Bunch is... viewing an episode evokes a lot of laughter. More laughter than what was originally met back when it first aired. Why? Because the material and the construction of the material and everything else involved dates it. Who laughs at the kids singing one of their bubble gum songs? Did you laugh at the songs back when they were first sung?

People get the wrong impression when you approach these type of projects. Granting most of the movies are stupidly constructed, I believe so many people have so much respect for Lucille Ball that I don't think anyone would dare tamper. And if they did there would be a tremendous backlash from the fans. And the filmmakers involved would be ruined.

Yes, Lucille Ball is irreplacable. That's not the point. No one is trying to say, "since I am now the new Lucy Ricardo, Lucille Ball's contributions are obsolete."

That's not the point. I think you people need to think a little bit broader and have much more of an open mind about this particular genre of films.

Probably most people are skeptic after knowing how 'Before the Laughter' and 'Lucy' turned out.

Screenwriter; do you mean something as a parody 'Weird AL Yankovic' style is what we need?

Those two movies are documentaries.

Not necessarily parodies... because parodies poke fun. No, produce a respectful representation. With actors and actresses and crew members who respect the project. Gear it towards the die-hard fans. Because you can't go wrong with a project when a die hard fan gives two thumbs up. Respect. Respect these projects. That's all. Hollywood is going about it at the wrong way.

The die hard fans sometimes get too picky and criticize harshly the way their beloved people are portrayed . I don't consider BTL and Lucy documentaries; because it wasn't an 'educational' presentation and the facts were twisted a whole lot. A good example of documentaries are 'The Home Movies' and 'Finding Lucy'
