I think Schottenheimer should have gone for the end zone instead of going for the field goal. Kaeding has missed field goal attempts before. Attempting a 40 yard one in that game was like going for a 50 yard field goal anyday.

Even if the Chargers did win, they wouldn't have been out of the woods. They would be playing either New England or Pittsburgh next week.

That's what I was telling my friends. When they had the ball I said they should just try to work their way down to the 1 yd line and try to give the kicker a chip shot or get a TD. That stupid ass is GONE

He's a rookie, and the best kicker coming out of that class. He's not going to get released for missing a 40+ yard fieldgoal.

Seattle should've won at the end cause Hasselbeck should've ran in the end zone for the touchdown instead of throwing it to that dude who dropped the ball in the end zone. I guess Jerry Rice will retire now LOL. It's a shame when players his age don't realize when they should retire.

If Assleback would have ran it in for a TD, the game would have been tied 27-27. Seattle wouldn't have won it would have went into OT

LOL! That's not really how it works. You don't simply get rid of a rookie kicker that went 20-25 on the year. That would be like saying the Vikings should have gotten rid of Gary Anderson for missing that kick in the '98 playoffs, even though he had a perfect season kicking the ball.

What a FG kicker did in the regular season means nothing. That idiot rookie missed a fg from the 20yd line in a playoff game in OT and let his entire team down. I wouldn't want him no where near me in the locker if i was a SD charger after missing that kick.
