Custom-made CDs, DVDs, and videos!
A lot of DVDS, including the "LOTR" trilogy, have extras that a lot of people don't want to watch and pay for. Just release the original theatrical release and a few months later, release the movie with the edited-out stuff. If people want to, they can swap the first release fot the new one with proof of purchase and a little extra money. As for TV shows on DVD, I just want to see what was originally aired, meaning what's aired in reruns plus stuff the don't show to make room for ads or other purposes. Cartoons: I'm talking about Looney Tunes and Tex Avery's work here, but...rent via mail for selection viewing, then the viewer can send it back with an order form and money. Also have an Internet order area. Music: Too many box sets have only a few good selections and a lot of junk....Jimi Hendrix's 2000 box set is a prime example. In addition, his 1995 Voodoo Soup has three really good songs, but it's no longer in print. The Essential Jimi Hendrix contained an edited version of "Machine Gun" and a version of "Gloria" that's didderent from the one on the 2000 box set. Either put them for sale on a custom-made disc for sale via mail order and the Internet, or put' em on one disc and release it in the-brick-and-mortar stores. --------------------------------------------------------------------------"Am I ranting?; I hope so you know my rants get raves." -- Capt. I wouldn't mind having to option to purchase a DVD witout all the extras and features. I rarely watch those anyway.
