Default Does anybody enjoy watching movies with rats?

For some reason, I just can't look at anything with rats in it. It is the way they look. Food of the Gods was a movie about rats turning as big as lions. That was sick. Willard, the 2003 version showed Ben, the leader of the rats as big as a goddamn cat, or bigger. Ben was so big he made the rest of the rats look like mice and they were big themselves. I had a hard time looking at that.

Rats don't bother me at all. I even had a couple of them as pets at one time.

The first movie I ever saw in the theater was The Secret of NIMH, which has super intelligent rats in it. Even tough it is a animated film it freaked me out but good at the time.

ermmm... When I watch movies in the theatre there are usually just people around. I don't notice the rats.
Sometimes I see some popcorn on the floor, but other than that...

yes, i love to watch splinter on those teenage mutant ninja turtle movies.

then, i also love to watch those fifteen minute films on the animal planet network where shows a male and a female of a given species mating. they have aired a rat mating one already. it's pretty interesting.

I saw a straight to video movie with Isaiah Washington & Ice T called Hoodrat. The movie was about Isaiah was a homeless guy who breeded rats to kill people who lived in a apartment building. Guy Torry was also in the movie as Isaiah's brother. The movie sucked badly & the rats were disgusting to look at. I remember a scene in The Golden Child movie with Eddie Murphy when that bad dude turned into a rat after he killed somebody.

Speaking of Eddie Murphy, that just reminded me of Dr. Doolittle, when he tried to give one rat mouth-to-mouth resesitation. He put he mouth on the rat's mouth. I almost threw up!

The (original) Willard and Ben were movies I got into when I was younger. I was more fascinated by them than liked them. I don't have any problem seeing rats if they're on the screen. I'd be scared of rats in real life. I'm okay with seeing them run around the subway tracks while I'm up on the platform here in NYC, but that's about it. I wouldn't want to be any closer.

kudos to you for coming up with the best DISCUSSION QUESTION EVER!

not that the answer really matters, 'cause it couldn't match the brilliant wit of the question, but technically, i'd have to say that I, too enjoyed the original WILLARD movie and it's so-bad-it's-good sequel, BEN.

I LOVED Ben when I was a kid!! Willard was great, and Ben was an added treat!! This was back in 1972.

I dunno about Michael Jackson doing the song, "Ben", though. They could've just used "Rat Salad" by Black Sabbath.

Sure, and speaking of Food of the Gods - while it's not a great movie by any means I love it. The Secret of NIMH is one I remember seeing when I was a kid. At the time, those suckers gave me the creeps, too.
