Exclamation What were they thinking??? Read

When they replaced the totally sexy Alex Farrah Forke with some ditzy redhead goofball KC/Stacey not real sure of her name but I new when she joined the show as Helen's sister that the show had jumped the shark. What do you all think

Casey had her moments, but I didn't care for her all that much. Alex was funnier.

Hmmm, it's surprising that you would say that. I can count on the fingers of one hand the times that Alex made me laugh, but Casey had MANY funny moments. True, Casey could be annoying as hell, but she also could be VERY funny!

I'm with pilotguy. Alex was only there as Brian's girlfriend. Casey is a much more fully developed character, complete with her own storylines. As Helen's sister, she "fits in" much better with the rest of the cast. Yes, she's annoying, but that's the whole point. Alex was one-dimensional. Casey is not.

I couldn't agree more. Alex was an OK character, but Casey was so much better written. Of course, when I started watching the show, they were at the point where Helen and Joe were engaged, and Casey had just been introduced. So I might have a different take on this than others.

I agree that Casey could be annoying, but I think she was WRITTEN that way, so it's OK. It's not a case of bad acting or anything like that.

There's my 2 cents LOL.

IMO Casey makes more sense. I can't stand Alex, and was glad when she left, even though I hated Casey at first, she was still a much more developed character than Alex ever was.

chalk me up as another that likes Casey so much more than Alex. I never found Alex either funny or sexy.

Sorry to say it, but people say that things have Jumped The Shark.
Thomas Haden Church's career is currently close to Jumping The Shark with me.

I have to go with Casey over Alex, too. I never did think that Alex was very funny. In fact, I always thought she was somewhat of a b**** even when she & Brian were together. Casey took me a bit to get used to but the more I watched her, I liked her more & more. Now I think she's hilarious!! I especially liked her scenes with Brian. They played off each other so well.

I think the main reason I prefer Alex is that I just liked those seasons a lot better than I like the Casey years. The show really JTS for me when Joe and Helen got married and Lowell left. I hated the way they always paired Casey with Brian. Those two just didn't have much chemistry, IMHO. They were funny together in small doses, but not every episode.

I think they should have had a Casey-Antonio romance.

I have to agree with the others here. Alex was my least favorite on the show. She just didn't seem to fit into Wings. Amy Yasbeck(sp) as Casey just seem to fit into the whole Wings family very easy and was funny and talented.

It would have been great if they would have let Brian and Casey get married in the end as it would have completed the picture IMHO

I love Brian and Casey together, the chemistry was very great between them They would have been a great married couple

I liked Alex a bit at first but loathe her after she went on that talk show and blamed all her and Brian's relationship problems solely on him

I actually liked Brian and Alex together. I don't think they should have gotten married or anything, but when she was on the show I thought she was a good addition to the cast. As for Casey, she was pretty annoying. But I also think that she fit into the cast pretty well, and she definately was funny at times.

I guess I don't prefer one over the other.

I definitely have to go with Casey. I never did like Alex. In my opinion the producers/writers never really gave her a solid personality that we could start to enjoy. I always thought she was just there for Brian and Joe to fight over and I couldn't stand that. I would have liked her more if they would have made her more pleasant and not just as eye-candy (which I never thought she really was). Casey was beautiful and had personality. Thankfully they took away her attitude after her first season. After that I really loved watching her and enjoyed how she developed as a character. Plus, love those legs.
