Post Mr Huxtable Or Mr. Lucas. Who did Bill play better?

I think that Bill played Hilton Lucas better, but who do you think he played better?

I think he played both characters well...I can't choose between the two. I probably liked "The Cosby Show" from the 1980's better, though.

Maybe it's because I was a teenager in the 80's and NEVER missed the Cosby Show, but I think it's Cliff Huxtable, hands down.

I watched this show for one reason: Madeline Kahn R.I.P. I couldn't stand Hilton Lucas, he seemed like a rip-off of Archie Bunker. But, I really like Bill and I really dislike Hilton so I guess I'd say Bill played Hilton Lucas better because he convinced me he was a grouch.

Did Cosby play both Mr Huxtable and Mr. Lucas? If he did, how did he do so?

Um....The Cosby Show ran from 1984-1992. Cosby ran from 1995-1998 [I think those were the dates].

Hilton Lucas, hands down. It was a pleasure to see him in the role as the retiree on Cosby.

I think it was a mistake to do the 2nd "Cosby" Huxtible was so much better, and it was hard not to assosiate Cosby with Cliff.

He played both parts equally well. (I've never seen Cosby play any part less than perfect.) I liked both characters too, but the show with Hilton was funnier; the scripts were funnier, and the supporting characters were funnier, so consequently, Hilton was funnier.

Dr. Huxtable, hands down! The Huxtable family has such an awesome chemistry; you just don't see that on COSBY. The only good people on that show are Bill Cosby, Doug E Doug and the wife (I forget her name). The daughter is okay, too, I guess; but the red-haired lady that lives with them (I forget her name) is just downright annoying & un-funny. She ruins the entire show for me.
