Default We wait for it to happen and then.......

I'm talking about when the characters who secretly desire each other, and we enjoy watching their tension on the show, finally get together.Vote in the poll, and apart from the choices, you can post any other onscreen couples who got together and blew the show.

Niles and Daphne. Absolutely no chemistry and half the fun of Niles's character disappeared.

Although I don't understand how Sam & Diane getting together could equate with bad ratings, especially since Cheers lasted nine years afterward and its ratings even peaked in its later years.

Same for Who's the Boss? The ratings for the show were still good even after they said the words(even with the show having been moved to Saturdays)

On WTB the fact that they wouldn't progress the relationship fast enough started to get to me after awhile. Even Sam got married. Angela and Tony should have at least gotten married on the last show. That always bothered me about it. I don't think it would have affected the ratings anyway if they would have gotten married before then either because of the fact that everyone wanted to see it and people still watched even though they knew it was never going to happen.

Very true, but the anticipation was always there for me, "will they, won't they"

Maddie and David, Moonlighting. The show really went downhill after they did it.

Thats probably the biggest show that goofed. When they finally did it the show was at its peak but the writers totally blew all the shows that came after.

I usually like it when they get together. In fact, lots of the last season IDOJ eps are favs. Except the actual wedding episode...that stunk.

I'm in 2 worlds about this: I want the characters to get together and i dont, because i like watching them 'nearly' get together.I have to say though that The Nanny was the worst for me.I liked it before Fran and Maxwell got married, because after that the episodes were stupid, and Max and Fran were so lovey dovey it was sickening.

Yeah I feel like it was as though the writers didn't know what to do with David and Maddie after that. But seeing as how Bruce Willis and Sybill Shepherd hated each other in real life it's just as well the show got cancelled. But you'd never know that from their scenes together on the show! But I get it after what I've learned about Sybill Shepherd and the stuff I've read that she's said in interviews over the years since then I really don't like her either. I think she's a very arrogant and nasty woman!

I voted Maxwell Sheffield and Fran Fine. Yeah their flirting with each other was fun and entertaining to watch but I just don't believe those two would've ever been attracted to each other in real life.
