Default Cartoon Network going down hill....

Personally I think since about 2000 Cartoon network began to get worse until now because now it just flat out sucks. I used to idolize cartoon network but ever since they made cartoons like ed, edd and eddy, powerpuff girls, jonny bravo, etc. their main priority it has sucked. the only good thing still on today is the comedy shows that are on adult swim. does anyone agree with me?

...also, does anyone have the schedules for cartoon network since it first began?

I agree with you 100% that the cartoon network sucks. About 10 years ago, it showed classic cartoons, all the favorites people grew up with. Now all they show is this made for cartoon network garbage. To be honest with you, it sucks so bad I forget the network exists. I don't have any schedules for when it first began, try Tvtome.com or Imdb.com, maybe.

I don't even watch Cartoon Network, the only thing that I watch is the Powerpuff Girls, cause they are my favorite show, I used to watch Cartoon Network alot in 2001 and 2002, when the Powerpuff Girls was on more then once. When the girls got cancelled, they just put them on sundays and everyday at 1pm, and I can't see them at 1pm but I could see them on Sunday twice.

I don't watch Cartoon Network. I used to, but I don't. They used to show older cartoons like Looney Tunes and a bunch of others. But thanks to Boomerang to show the older cartoons. I don't get it on Time Warner Cable. My brother has Boomerang on DirecTV. What should I do, I can watch Looney Tunes on DVD.

Cartoon Network bums me out. They used to show the best of the best. I don't care for the newer animation or Japanese Anime. I agree that the older stuff was terrific!

Remember Cartoon Network used to be like GSN (Game Show Network) was, all good stuff all the time! A channel you can leave on day and night!

Boomerang is GSN for classic cartoon fans!

I'm not building an entire animation library on DVD per se, only my favorite cartoon shows from my era when I was growing up!

I don't have Boomerang on cable either so you can get it on DirecTV or Dish Network. Their websites are below.

Dish Network

Imagine that! Game show lovers said the same thing when GSN showed classic game shows day and night in the glory days of the network before all this reality garbage set in! Boomerang's one channel you can keep on day and night even when you're busy! Sorry if this is a bit off-topic.

I remember when CN used to show Superfriends, Jetsons, Flinstones, Bugs Bunny......but now its all those dumb cartoons. I like Powerpuff girls when I'm bored (but I rarely catch it on television anyway) and I watch the channel for Futurama reruns and that's about it. Why don't they show classic shows? I'd rather watch Jonny Quest than Johnny "I think I'm ELvis and I love all girls" Bravo. I can't STAND him. Why can't they get the rights to the 1990s Spiderman? And the 1990s X-Men cartoon? I need to watch those cartoons in order, they never air in order when they are on ToonDisney........

sort of OT......why does ToonDISNEY show POWERRANGERS? Since when is that a CARTOON?

BOOMERANG???? have you watched it lately????
all it is has been for months is "valley of the dinosaurs" "johnny quest", and whatever scooby doo show they put on, which is most likely the ones with scrappy doo (which i can't stand).
this channel is a joke. they do show some different stuff but not much. they fill all their time up with the same stuff all the time.
pleae don't make this channel out to tbe a savouir for folks that don't get it, because it is not.

Boomerang evenused to have GI Joe on it. It was on Sunday mornings at 10:30. But now all they ever show is scooby and other shows. If they could get the rights to He-Man reruns that would have been great. And what happened to the special "marathon" of shows on fridays? Like one month its flintstones, one month its scooby, etc. I'd like to see more Looney Toons on that channel. And a full 30 minutes of the cartoons with no "Breaks" too.

As GERFIELDKOOL stated above, they rely too much on thier own original programming, which doesn't really hold my interest.

Although I do think the Star Wars Clone Wars and Samurai Jack cartoons are excellent.

Also, i think they rely too much on the anime. Sorry, i just don't like that stuff either.

There is a new show premiering tonight on Adult Swim which is supposed to be funny. I think it's called Robot Chicken or something, and it's kind of a stop motion animated sketch show.

Does CN still have that vote in contest where the viewers can vote for their favorite cartoon short and the winner will be made into a series? I liked that.

CN had sucked when they have added The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy (I can't stand Mandy), Mucha Lucha, The Cramp Twins, Foster's Home For Imaginary Friends, Atomic Betty, Hi Hi Puffy AmiYumi, and Krypto The Superdog. And I absolutely cannot stand that young female announcer. EM' ALL!
