Wink TVShow Analyzer - Solomon

Hello Everyone:

I was looking for copies of the Show "Sanford" and got a reply from Solomon. I am going to purchase these Videos from him but he suggested that I might want to do a reference check on him with the other members of the message board. I'm sure he's very honest that was obvious since he is the one that suggested I do the check and I will be very happy with my purchase but I thought I would asked if anyone has purchased items from TVShow Analyzer/Solomom. Thank you all.

Yes, I purchased 10 episodes of Sanford(1980) from Solomon and was VERY pleased with the transaction. The quality was good, and he was a good communicator via email. Kept me informed. Highly Recommended!!!

Does TVSHOW Analyzer have any of Season Two Baretta episodes???? I had someone email me before offering vhs copies of Baretta episodes but they wanted 30 dollars per tape with only two episodes per tape!!!! Wow! I couldn't afford that.

Signed,
Respectfully,
Dutch

Default TRADING / BLANKS & POSTAGE ??

Here's my question - whatever happened to the concept of trading or providing blank tapes & postage for these episodes, instead of selling.

Why don't those who have access the episodes do as follows:

- if someone requests some episodes and has nothing to trade in return, have that person send you a blank tape AND a pre-paid return mailer to send the tape back in once the copy is made. I can't see why people need to make a bunch of cash for providing these tapes for fellow fans. $30 for a tape is ridiculous, and so is $18, IMO.

I trade a lot of audio concert CDRs, and the practice of *selling and buying* is strictly prohibited by traders. I have sent out tons of CDRs to fellow fans by the method described above and can honestly say I've never *made* a cent on any of them.

Well, that must be the difference between greedy people and collectors. Hey, I can appreciate people who have invested time and effort (not to mention money as well) in building up their collections, but hey some people do go overboard.

I always had this question regarding tape trading for collectors:

How do I as a fan, how do I get involved in tape trading if I don't have anything to trade????? It seems like it would be very difficult to get involved in trading tapes if you don't have anything of interest/value that any other collector would be interested in.

If you don't have a trade, then I've always found the "blanks/postage" option, as outlined in my post above, to be fair.

Most traders, if they're not overly busy with other trades, will often try to accomadate those fans who don't have trades via the "blanks/postage" route.

Sending a Blank Tape is fine for one episode but if someone wants 6 or more eps and just send you a blank tape to copy those 6 eps on that's not enough for me. It has to be atleast two blank tapes for the trader doing the copying along with the money order for shipping. You have to take into consideration that the person is taking time out of their day to copy eps for you so they should get something for their copying. So it should be 2 tapes for the copyer, and 1 tape to copy the episodes on along with the money order for shipping which would be a total of 3 blank tapes and a money order.

Well what i did was offer cash to some because you have to get started some way. So if you have nothing to offer u may have to buy some shows first before you start trading. I been trading since the fall of 2003 and i still have to offer money sometimes because some traders don't copy things that easily if it's nothing in it for them. Also start recording current thing on tv such as specials, reunions, or sitcoms so you can kind of start forming a small list of what you currently have to offer. I'm also a Sports Trader and I record current games so that i can get copies of older games i want just in case someone missed a current game.

Well, that makes more sense to me than *selling* the tapes, and you as the copier certainly have the right to set your own terms for any blanks/postage type of trade.

I also understand that it does take time & effort to copy the episodes. It just doesn't seem right, however, when a copier gets too "greedy" and demands too much in return on transactions with fellow fans. I've seen that happen too much in the past but, based on your post above, you don't seem to fit into that category at all Solomon, which makes me feel much better!
