Default Favorite Norman Lear sitcom

I'd have to say my top two:

All In the Family
Sanford and Son

Lear struck gold in the 1970's with that many sitcoms no one will ever top what he did.

All his sitcoms (IMO) are fantastic! Great choices by the way and great poll, too!!

My favourite is a few years after all those...

The Powers that Be.

This sitcom was funny right outta the box and although it didn't last long it launched so many careers

Peter MacNicol who went on to Chicago Hope as a result of this and later Ally MacBeal.

David Hyde Pierce was written into Frasier because of this show
In the Powers that Be he also had a thing for the maid, played by

Elizabeth Berridge later of The John Larroquette Show

Robin Bartlett who later turned up in Mad About You

Joseph Gordon Levitt who later featured in 3rd Rock from the Sun
and

Holland Taylor who went on to The Naked Truth and The Practice
