Default Do you think there were anymore Brady Reunions Planned after "The Bradys" Ended?

Do you think Sherwood had ideas (since Robert Reed was still alive) after "The Brady's" was cancelled.

I think that "The Brady's" would have went on longer, and then closed up with Cindy and Peter marrying significant others.

If Robert Reed was still alive I guess maybe we would have seen 4 or 5 more reunions as of now (Throughout the 90's). I would have loved to see Mike and Carol retired and stuff. I doubt they would have had Mike as City Council if they made another movie after the Brady's ended and Reed was still alive. If there was one more reunion it would have been of their retirement days as grandparents. Possibly even selling the house (Like they did on Growing Pains).

Here is what I would have liked to see...

In 1994 Peter should have gotten back with Valerie (I think they broke up before "The Brady's Ended") He would have gotten married to her and Cindy would be hoping marriage by that older guy who has a kid who hasn't proposed to her. Cindy would be the one to get Valerie and Peter to marry. Then Peter goes to Cindy and finds out her troubles and influences Cindy's boyfriend to propose.

In 1999 or later, Everyone would be grown, Bobby would have kids, Cindy, Jan would have a kid (not adopted), Cindy would have kids, and Peter would have kids (Probably 1 or 2 for each of the kids who haden't had any yet). Marica and Greg would have stayed with the amount of kids they had. Mike and Carol would have retired, as the house was getting too big for them as Alice packed up her stuff with Sam and was ready to move to Florida to live out the rest of her days. The kids, however, team up with Alice and Sam to try to stop the house from being sold but will they sell it? Will they want to sell it?

I think these reunions would have been great, but they were never possible. I am guessing Sherwood could have had ideas of these, as in every reunion, another kid was married or had kids.

Nah, I don't think there will be a reunion now since Robert died. But you never know....

Wasn't it said in 1990's "The Bradys" (the drama) that Alice and Sam divorced?

It's really hard to say if there would have been other Brady reunions planned if it wern't for Robert Reed's untimely death. I somehow don't think so, but in a way it would have made things easier to have the complete cast avaliable.

I recently saw the new Brady Bunch Biography on A&E the other night, and they said that if "The Brady's" would have gone on longer and become more sucessful than it did, the writers were going to kill of the Mike Brady character, because Sherwood was still having alot of trouble working with him.

i think that the show would go down hill if they did that, i mean think about it : carol would be raising the kids by herself (of course theres alice) but mikes gives the kids lectures and neway hes it would be horrible if he wasnt on the show.

Weren't the kids a little too old (in their late 20s and early 30s when 1990 rolled around) to be raised?

Maybe they could use the original actor choice to play Mike Brady. Was it Ken Berry?

No, Gene Hackman was the original choice to play Mike Brady. Ken Berry played Ken Kelly in Episode #107, "Kelly's Kids." (Ken Berry was more famous as Sam Jones on "Mayberry, R. F. D.", which is a spinoff of "The Andy Griffith Show.")

I think the feature films with the new cast could also have put an end to any more original cast events. Watching a new cast spoof the orginal show is more like watching the original show than a reunion movie which just reunites the now older cast. that said, I think The Bradys would have worked well as a prime time soap style drama with continuing stories over the course of the season.

No, Sam (played this time by the late Lewis Arquette instead of Allan Melvin) was caught cheating on Alice in "A Very Brady Christmas", but he begged for and she gave him her forgiveness. Sam didn't appear as a character in The Bradys.

I didn't care much for The Brady's, it was too much drama. The show is better as a comedy, I also didn't like the Marcia replacement. It was hard to see Marcia struggle with Alcoholism, and Bobby being crippled.

I agree. I could never get into any of the replacements...maybe thats why I never liked the idea of the movies all that much.
