i hadnt seen it for ages, but came across it on an old tape. Who was that who knocks on the door in the last scene where sam says "sorry, we're closed"?. I thought it was Kelsey Grammer at first but then there was a small closeup and thought maybe not.

It's James Borrows, I think i heard that somewhere. (James directed almost every ep of Cheers from 1982-1993

It's not Burrows. There was an official answer from the Cheers producers as to who it was. I don't remember who, but I remember them saying that Burrows was a popular guess, but it wasn't him.

I'll see if I can dig that article up and post the answer later.
