Default To those of you who have seen Vicki's A Two Woman Show...

I was wondering where you got your tickets? Did you go through the regular channels or did you get them somewhere else?
I just read that she will be coming near here, well actually I thought it was closer and I was getting pretty excited because it was in a local paper but now I learn the place is like 3 hours away, so I still don't know if I will be actually going(to that one).
I looked on Ebay for tickets because that is where we got some REALLY GOOD seats for another show, and I don't really want to go if my seats are way in back making Mama small enough that it looks like I'm watching her on tv. But anyway, I couldn't find any on Ebay, so now I have to find some other scalper.

The first time I saw her show, I bought the tickets directly from the box office of the venue. The second time I saw it, I bought them through a ticketing service that handled the tickets for that venue. I got much closer seats (first row!) when purchasing them through the venue's direct box office.

Really? It seems like whenever I purchased tickets through the venues box office I always got crappy seats.
Thanks for the reply though!

I guess it depends on the size of the venue. This one was pretty small, so maybe that's why. Anyway, good luck on getting tickets!

The 1st time I saw her (in 03), I went directly to the box office of the venue she was playing at - which wasn't hard to do, since it was 10 minutes away from town. I requested front-row seats, and the guy was happy to give me them.

The 2nd time I saw her three months ago, I ordered my tickets in June (four months prior). I ordered them at the venue's website and requested front row tickets. I had a connection the 2nd time to get me far better seats than what I got - over 9,000 people saw her the 2nd time I saw her!

Good luck.

Thanks!
This one is a 1000 seater, I guess that's pretty small, isn't it?

Yep, I think the 1st time I saw her, the venue was a roughly 500-750 seater - not too bad. I hope you get great seats!

By the way, eBay rarely has Vicki tix there. Her shows are always sold out.

(Stripes) John Winger: "And then depression set in."

I guess you're right PZelda, I called and they said they only had the cheapy seats left. And I told myself I wouldn't go if I couldn't see her up close, because otherwise it's just like watching the small version of her on tv and I can do that at home.
Ugh, I need to find a scalper! Someone who bought some of those good seats just to sell them. I'll pay. I've found that it is worth it; after I saw the Wiggles(yeah, I know, But I like them) from the fourth row I vowed I would never do the cheap seats again.

I guess it didn't help that I just read the section that said she was coming last night, and it was the Sunday Paper. They've probably been advertising it even before that, but of course I didn't get a paper the Sunday before this one because I was gone for Christmas. Drat!

Uh, anyway. I think I have to write to her, and ask her to get her booking people to book more shows in Wisconsin. There is only one show here, and that one's four hours away from me, and I'm sure that one is sold out too(good seats anyway).
We have casino's up North too, since most of her venues seem to be casino's. In fact, we have one not 30 minutes from here and another bigger one 45 minutes away. We are up to our slots in casino's.
Oh, well.

Thanks for all your help anyway, guys!
