Default Famous people you respect

Meaning....you respect them for what they do,or because they are good at it,or because you admire them as people.

*Julia Roberts (I like how shes so natural)
*John Travolta (Great actor, great guy-never been involved in any major scandal)
*Johnny Depp (Great actor,so easy going, doesn't go for the whole scene)
*Julia Stiles (Talented, intelligent and a good role model)
*Drew Barrymore (Shes had a rough upbringing but used it to her advantage, and i admire her for that)
*Josh Hartnett (Passionate about what he does, humble, not in the limelight)
*Goldie Hawn and Kate Hudson (so full of life!)
*Natalie Imbruglia (So very beautiful, and humble, and doesn't have to take her clothes off for attention)
*Avril Lavigne (has that 'I dont care what other people think' attitude)
*Fred Savage (just comes across as a terrific person, one of the child stars who didn't resort to alcohol and drugs, and he's delightful to watch in interviews)
*Jennifer Love Hewitt (I just have always liked her and respected her)

Tonnnns, I'm a TV people (hehe lolz kkkk get it?!?1/1)...but my top (not really in any order):

Tina Fey-my idol. She's so smart, and hilarious
Jimmy Fallon-He just seems so cool and easy to get along with
Lorne Michaels-ala GOD. One of those responsible for starting SNL and the time he's left it was short compared to the time he's been there.
John Ritter-I. loved. that. man. He just seemed like such an awesome person. He was the type of person that could make anyone smile. I know I still do.
Jon Stewart/Conan O'Brien-Hilarious guys who are doing really good lately. Hellz yia, boys.
Gilda Radner-Classic SNL great who paved the way for a lot of other SNL women and was just so funny.
Chris Farley-He was a genius. I can laugh so hard at him, he really was cool.

I don't have a list or have really thought about this, but what Sandra Bullock did this past week is a great act of kindness. I respect her for that.

John Ritter- I just love him. How could you not? He seemed like such a great guy. Always makes me smile
Conan O' Brien- One of my favorites. On his show he just seems like a regular person, and he makes it seem that he isn't a celebrity, when he is. He seems really down-to-earth.
Kelly Clarkson- Is one of my favorite singers EVER. She seems really down-to-earth and just a person you can hang out with or whatever. Gotta love her

I admire many people but here are a few:

Usher - he's worked hard all his life and now is up the top :usher:
ooooooh did I mention the sexyness? And I hear hes so sweet to his fans

Aretha Franklin - for breaking stereotypes with her fabulous voice

Alicia Keys - for workin hard, everything she touches turns to gold..I cant imagine her not being good at something, and being an all around cool person

Michael Moore - for the sake of not starting anything I'm not going to list reasons.

Well, all of my fav actors, because if I don't see any reason to respect them, then I'm not a fan.

Anyway, I guess I'll list a couple.

Bill Bixby- He seemed like such a sweet man and all around nice person. A great talent who was as good behind the scenes as he was off. He went thru such hell in his life, but seemed to overcome it all. RIP

Richard Dawson- lol- naturally. He may have had a huge ego, and some playboy behavior that we won't talk about, but he seems like a very giving person (to charity and otherwise) who sincerely loved all people and life in general. Plus for a guy who never went to JH or HS, he's very intelligent.

Martin Milner- same as the other two. Nice guy, great talent, plus he's been married to the same woman for over 40 years. I like loyalty. Don't find that in Hollywood much anymore.

John Ritter - He seemed like a very caring, fun person in real life.

Suzanne Somers - I respect her for educating people about alcoholism and its effects on families. After all, it couldn't have been easy for her to come out and talk about her childhood with an abusive alcoholic father. She's also admitted to her mistakes (the Three's Company financial fiasco), which some people in Hollywood never do. I also respect her for the drive she has - she's really done a ton of things in life.

Nancy Addison Altman - She's not nearly as well-known as the other people in this post, but I think she did a ton in her lifetime. She was a beautiful, Emmy-nominated actress from the daytime serial Ryan's Hope. She really stood up for what she believed in and refused to be silenced, which makes it somewhat surprising that she lasted so long in daytime (her career spanned 25 years). She did a ton of things with children who had terminal illnesses, especially AIDs, in the late 90s. She even continued despite the debilitating cancer she was diagnosed with in 1999 which eventually killed her at age 54 in 2002. She's probably one of the people in entertainment that I respect the most.

There are a lot of actors and musicians I respect for their work in film and music. Paul McCartney for his music and he just seems like a really cool guy.

I also respect actresses like: Jennifer Love Hewitt, Reese Witherspoon, Amy Brenneman, Tracy Pollan, Justine Bateman, I'm sure there are many others, but I can't think of them all right now.

I respect actors like: Michael J. Fox, Rick Schroder, Matt Damon, Dave Foley,
Robert Duvall, Henry Winkler, I'm sure there are others I could name, but I can't think of anymore right now.

I respect directors like: Ron Howard, Brad Siberling and Steven Speilberg because the films they direct are really great films. Of the films of theirs that I've seen I can't say a bad thing about the films. They are great directors.

And, although they have passed on I also respect Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens and J.P. Richardson (The Big Bopper) for their music. They were great musicians. I always wonder what they could have done if they hadn't passed on in the plane crash.

I also respect the late Tejano singer Selena. Not only for her music, but also for bringing cultures together when she married the guitarist Chris Perez in her music group, Selena y los Dinos.

I also respect the late Katharine Hepburn for her being a role model to many women in the last century. Not many women, much less people, are as strong and as wickedly honest as her.

I respect late actors like Cary Grant and Humphrey Bogart for being great actors in their time and I also have never read a bad thing about either of them, so I respect them for being good people, as well.

I also respect Audrey Hepburn. She was a great actress in her time and if the biograhpical film has any truth to it, I think she was a strong woman to be able to handle being in Holland during the war.
